Resident Evil 3 was the best Resident Evil game. It had the best sound effect, the best music, the best gameplay, and I actually think it looked better than Code Veronica. The fixed camera angles really added to the horror aspect. Resident Evil 4-5 are good, but will never be as good as the originals
And for the music : Absolutely chilling theme. When the songs for the RE games were made they were made with the intention to make the listeners afraid, lose hope, and become hesitant.
This song accomplishes all 3 and more. The composer's for these games were simply brilliant, they did for the RE games what Nobuo Uematsu did for Final Fantasy, make them epic

Seriously now, if i could be bothered, i'd be giving you a standing ovation.
Escort missions, in most games, are largely very painful. RE4 did it perfectly though, and if Ashley was in danger, it literally was always your fault that you weren't doing your job of protecting her.

Hearing her scream was the most painful part of that game. Nobody deserves to suffer like that for failing to protect someone so fragile just touching a gun would snap her wrist with a scream akin to that of a three-year-old who just got their teddy bear taken from them.Last edited by Canas Renvall; 02-01-2010, 10:36 PM.

My favourite Resident Evil/Biohazard titles so far are: -
Resident Evil 2. << (The first RE game I've ever played)
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X.
Resident Evil: Outbreak. << (It was actually this RE game that made me a genuine fan of the Resident Evil series in the first place, Plus it was the "T-Viral Infection meter" that hooked me into playing it)
Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2.
Resident Evil: Dead Aim. (even though the voice-acting for me, was a tad difficult to hear at times, possibly due to the BGM in certain cutscenes playing at the same volume level. It made characters sound like their VAs were speaking through a wall. But that's my opinion, I don't know if it also occurs to most of you a well)
Resident Evil 5. (I'm a bit of action junkie I'm afraid, but I don't mind playing the survival-horror versions of RE)Last edited by Shadow Stalker; 02-02-2010, 01:09 AM.

A younger girl would have made a lot more sense with the story and gameplay they wanted to tell. Someone you could actually feel sympathy for when they got captured yet again and it's not a shock that they can't use a pistol.
Gameplay wise it was fine. Character wise? I kept voting for Saddler to kill her. Or at least have the Plagas be too mature and be forced to kill her to put her out of her misery.

I only played through RE4 once so I don't remember most of it and that's how I like it, but I don't remember Ashley being all that much of a problem. Maybe she's a problem on Pro but when I played on normal it was pretty easy to get her out of the way and go about your business, although she was still mildly annoying at times.
There are much worse things IMO that are wrong with that game but I suppose if you're one of the people who generally like the game, then I suppose I could see why Ashley would be the subject for a gripe.
