I pick DSC/RE4 Leon too, you know. Every character in Deg. looked like if they had injected 30 kg of botox on their faces.

hell yeah thank god I'm not the only one that thinks this. Degeneration Leon looks kinda creepy (I thought he looked kinda stalker-ish at times) compared to RE4/DSC's incarnations of him

So yes, 4 is better in that regard.

Plus he didn't whine about others not listening to him in 4.

At least he didn't come off as a cocky asshole in RE2.

I think Leon's humor in RE4 was just his way of dealing with the situation. I found the banter to be quite hilarious, thus it's really hard for me to skip any scene involving cheesy one-liners. I think it adds to the charm of the game.

Besides, I've never thought Leon was a cocky asshole. His personality has always been selfless; he really doesn't care about himself, but the people around him. He's always thrown himself in danger's way for people he's barely known.
              Mass production? Ridiculous!

I would pick the RE 4 as there was nothing likeable about him in degeneration. Yea the one-liners were annoying but at least he had some emotion.

Something about Leon I just don't like but I can't really say it out for some reason . It's either his face expression (or apperance) or his personality.

I had a feeling if any scene would contradict what I said, it would be that one.
Oh well. It's still only one time.

Leon was ruined the moment Capcom scrapped Resident Evil 1.5. In 1.5, he was a rookie cop who had already been working for the RPD when the outbreak occurred, and he was scared and desperate to survive. When they redid 2, they made Leon more cool and angry at times.

I guess that something big happened to Leon between RE4's and Degeneration's events. He seems... a bit of a cyborg. However the scene when G-Curtis beats the shit out of him and he goes "Altair + Faith (Mirror's Edge)" to reach Angela again was absolutely crazy. That killed the character for me. I mean, I like the professional attitude, but that superhuman parkour skill was ludicrous.

Anyway, I'll take DSC Leon. A blend of his RE2 & RE4 characters.

I much rather pick DSC Leon for the same reason zomBD stated.

In order to complement the topic I would have to choose RE4's.
Seriously for me Leon in Degeneration was just to bland & Stiff
in character and his facial features look just weird, it looks like
they used his pixelated face from RE2 and refined it to HD.

To me, 4's Leon wasn't as horrible as the people who never shut up about it say he is. It was a believable shift in character for Leon. Leon in RE2 in fact wasn't AS goofy and liek omg totally not like RE4's. And likewise RE4's wasn't as devoid of a personality and super duper serious as RE2's Leon was. Putting those two together leaves you with a believable transformation.

We know Leon is a capable person, we meet him as a cop, so his transition to working for the government was, duh, on that same tier. Leon's entrance into Raccoon City was his first day on the job. So of course in comparison to RE4's Leon who had gained more experience in the area, RE2's skill level pales in comparison. And RE4's can't be considered unbelievable cheater hax omg Leon stop being superhuman, either. It's not as if previous RE games featured feats and things that weren't unbelievable. RE4 was a little cheesier in that area, yeah, but ... RE itself isn't something to take completely seriously. RE4's kept Leon's general personality, because as lame as they were, he was still cracking jokes, so he has that core nice guy personality he's always had. He matured, he grew up, maybe even along the way being in the situation he was in he became a little more jaded as a result. But I liked RE4's Leon for what it was. I think it had character.

Degen however disappointed me overall. They went a little too overboard with the seriousness so he was just boring. I mean, yeah, I get the situation he was in was one to take seriousLY, but there are so many creative ways to bring out his other traits that they just didn't take.
