Wow, that was cool! But, like everybody else has said, if only it had auto-aim for the static-camera mod.

It wouldn't be too hard, just like the old games if you hold thr R1 button down and aim.

I think the static camera can work if heavily implemented to work well around combat. I think if the camera pans closer to the player when he holsters the gun (IE, the camera moves back closer to the player, the perspective going back to have a clear view around your surroundings) then that would have the best of both worlds.

But to make surely they get the feel right with the classics then they need to do some heavy testing on multiple runs so they can get the feel "right", than it feeling like all over the place. Something like with the first tech Resident Evil 5 announcement trailer back many Tokyo Game Shows ago, where the camera shifted to Chris when he was in the shadow buildings (holstering his gun compared to before where he had his trademark stance). I'll keep an eye on to see how this will turn out.

Static cam'd majini/lickers played on amatuer or even on normal isn't as bad as RE1 hunters, or even the spiderlike B.O.W's you meet in the power room. I own both the original RE as well as the DC, in which they implemented auto aim.

Playing RE5 is not difficult without auto aim. You just need to change your tactics. I've played 1-1 with a static cam. The advantage (or disadvantage to some, myself included) of RE5 static is that you have PLENTY of room to position yourself. RE1 rendered backgrounds are very linear, narrow. It's impossible to take on 3 Hunters, or even 3 Cerebros for that matter, without getting hit. RE5 is a different story.

The only problem I see with RE5 are the soldier Majini, with obviously long range attacks, and the roaches. However a remedy for that would just be a tricky cam position.

I loved that perspective, what a treat! As long as there a more camera angles employed, and a narrower field for the player, I feel some much needed atomosphere could be injected into RE5 with these fixed camera angles & 3rd person perspective. Brings back the survival horror; I hope Capcom are watching!

It takes a whole lot more than camera angles.

Don't get him started. Honestly. We've been there already.

That is sweet, and really nice-looking, it could be a fun play if like everyone else mentioned, auto-aiming was possible.

I also agree wheat is so much better.

(I also just love the "ah-- shit!!" clip of Wesker)

It is 3rd person....just! I prefer the tradditional 3rd person perspective where your view is of the entire player, as with Remake, over the 'just over the shoulder' angle, which gives a perspective not disimilar to first person, in my opinion, but I do not think we will see that style again in the series. So I would love to have seen Biohazard 5 done this way!
