  • me and a friend of mine, did a whole run though yesterday, we did both scenarios (Lost in Nightmare / Desperate Escape). I personally think, it´s Ok - but not to great.

I am sad about some various things. The first scenario (Lost in Nightmares) was going to be a good one (mood), when we started coop mode/ story plot, but it was to short in my opinion and the one real enemy began to bore us, every time the same fight style etc... Capcom made a good point to tell the Story around the RE 5 Storyplot in side storys. To the second scenario (Desperate Escape) it was pretty much more action based, like the main game. This scenario was more fun to play via coop mode, but not to great at all, in my personal opinion.

It´s Ok, what Capcom did released as extra content, but I think they could have make it better.

    • I think the Pro mod from DE is very nice..I like the end of the game..there is a trick to finish the game very easily..To to this little house with no roof..your partner stays left from you and kills the enemys and YOU stay on the other side and kill the other enemys with the TMP.And if there come some boss enemys, use the sniper rifle to kill them...very easy..if you do it,you wont die at the end of the game

        • Is DE on Pro harder than the actual game on Pro? Do you get sent into dying status with one hit?
          Mass production? Ridiculous!

          • DE Pro is definitely harder than the actual game. Think Mercenaries mode, and if you get hit once you go into dying. It's insane.

            • doesn¨t sound like much fun, specially if you can´t save.

              • Oh, it is fun. Until you die for the 30th time on the finale.

Bump it down to Veteran and it's still challenging while not being completely cheap.

                    • Ugh....I will never...repeat...never play both Lost in Nightmares & Desperate Escape solo
with a crappy AI controlled partner, AGAIN!

The AI is terrible! it dies all of the time and doesn't even provide great cover at all in
the Desperate Escape. The problem in Lost in Nightmares was that Jill (AI) kept pausing
too much in front of the enemy then died by getting grabbed followed by being impaled
because I was too far to save her or I had to jump something before getting to her. It
was probably my fault as well, because I wanted to kill every enemy in Lost in
Nightmares especially in the part where you fight two of those New enemy...I forgot
                      their name.

Next time, I'll play with my brother during the weekend or with someone else online.

If only you could play actual "Solo" with partner support.
Playing with AI is a Nightmare!

Btw, guys I got Resident Evil Gold Edition today and just so you know guys...it does not
bring the extra content in DLC mode. What a bummer! I lent my original RE game to a
friend and was planning to share the DLC with him so he can play with my original copy.

The other method I can try is to install Gold Edition in his PS3 and hope that the original
copy can actually access the RE5 Gold Edition install data. I doubt it will work because
I have both install data(s) which I think is such a waste of space...I thought Gold Edition
was going to use the same install data but I guess Crapcom went on their way to make
you buy the DLC or Gold Edition; one way or the other or just spend money for both.

I hope somebody who have both copies can make this clear as I won't be able to try it
'till tomorrow when my friend passes by with my original copy.

                      • I decided to download everything. Gold edition is a waste of money, you can get both stages cheaper than buying the disc.

Well, of course if you already have the original game.

Edit: My suspicions were right. You won't be able to play the extra content not even on your old copy if you install the Gold Edition
the Install Data(s) are completely independent from each other.

                            • Where do you find a magnum? I mean, I think I managed to sweep every spot possible on my second play though but didn't find one; got magnum bullets though. =/

                              • Gun placement is random.

Trying to think of all the places you can find weapons in DE.

                                First Area -

                                - In the control room area you need climb a ladder to get to, in a safe.
                                - The little room under the door you enter from, in a safe.
                                - Further along fromt he above item is a little room (no door) with a weapon sometimes in the corner.
                                - When you reach the indoor area in a small room inside a locker.

                                Second Area -

                                - To the far left of the first area before blowing the red gate is a small room with a safe and locker inside it, in the locker.
                                - After you pass through the red gate the area to your left has a couple small buildings, inside one of them is a locker which sometimes holds a weapon.
                                - A Rocket Launcher on the roof of the same building mentioned above.
                                - On the platform with the mounted rocket across the map from where you find the first rocket launcher is a safe, sometimes holds a weapon.

                                Unsure if forgot anywhere.
