Finished my playthrough with Jill's Boob not too long ago. It took us about two hours, but we were playing on veteran. . .without me realizing it, but glad for it because that's how I played RE5 the first time. A couple of really funny thing's happaned during our playthrough. I twas Jill(of course!).
Spoiler:
During the last part of the DLC with the crank puzzles and Guardians you have to lure into the traps, Jill's Boob got grabbed by one while operating the crank, so I ran over and hit circle, but instead of helping him, Jill gave Chris an egg instead. Why, I have no clue, but the guardian killed him. Though I got my turn when Jill's boob flattened me into a "jill sandwich" when I was trying to lure a guardian into a drop zone. It was really funny, since the guardian was going after him and I made it to the edge before Jill's boob squished me.
Otherwise, the DLC was alright. The story details about Spencer and the Wesker children, specifically this Alex, are very interesting. Not to mention the revealtion that Ada had a invisible hand to play in RE5's events. I suspect some foreshadowing toward RE6, as I hope this "Alex" character is as well. But really, I know I"ve said it a million times, but this should have been in the game. The Wesker fight was a friggin pointless waste of time.. As CR29 said, "lame." Crappy game design 101 in my book.. And having the itcy tastey sctraching file was really retarded. Yeah, it's a fan favorite and all, but come'on, there's no logic in Spencer actually having that file.
But also, I don't get why everyone's talking about how nostalgic this is. It really didn't come off as all that nostalgic to me. I'm honestly more excited for Desperate Escape.
EDIT*** It was actually nice to play co-op as a full-fledged Chris and Jill team. It almost felt like that's what RE5 should have been. . .but that's another story, haha.Last edited by valentinesdead?; 02-19-2010, 04:14 AM.sigpic

Spoiler:
Not sure what the deal was with the Itchy Tasty diary being there. How one earth did that one end up there? Did Spencer keep copies of everyone's stuff? Did he salvage stuff from the mansion and just let it collect dust in the open?
Anyway, one of the odd things that struck me while playing Lost in Nightmares was that I got reminded of how Dead Rising 2 is getting an Xbox exclusive "bridge" between Dead Rising 1 and Dead Rising 2.
Now... what if this "prologue" concept could've been applied to something like Resident Evil 5? With Lost in Nightmares pretty much having acted as a pre-release demo for the full game. (Free - rather than pay content). Think it could've been an interesting take on things + would've probably prepared and set people up for RE5 in terms of several key elements a tad bit differently.

Spoiler:
Simple fanservice would be my guess. It's rather ironic that they chose the itchy tasty file for the DLC, when a file within Re5 basically copied it from the perpesctive of the african tribe being test subjects for Plagas type 3. Go figure
I didn't know that Dead Rising 2 was getting a prologue. That's pretty cool, actually.Last edited by valentinesdead?; 02-19-2010, 04:25 AM.sigpic

Dead Rising (2) - Case Zero.
It was announced at X10 and also as part of the whole Microsoft x Capcom thing.
I'm not entirely sure if it's a demo, DLC or XBLA, though. Various news sites have mixed reports too. But universally, everyone agrees to/acknowledges the fact that it's supposedly a 360 exclusive.

Here's a interesting bit of information regarding the figures
If you complete any stage in Mercs Reunion with an SS rank while using Warrior Chris or Fairy Tale Sheva, you unlock...
Spoiler:
A Chris/Sheva figure, similiar to the Chris/Jill one you recieve for LIN.
***EDIT: This is the rumored way to get the remaining figures. I was hoping for a Keeper figure but oh well :/
Chris/Jill - Complete LIN
Chris/Sheva 1 - SS Rank using Warrior Chris or Fairy Tale Sheva in Reunion
Jill/Josh - Complete DE
Chris/Sheva 2 - SS Rank using Exo Chris or Business Sheva in Reunion

I did one runthrough last night on LIN and was well impressed. I'm not ashamed to admit that this made me jump on numerous occassions - not only the first time in RE5 but in any RE game in a long time. My only criticism would be the length of it. Loved it's throwbacks to classic RE (especially RE1) and cant wait to have another runthrough tonight using Jill and Spoiler:
the static camera
I only briefly played Merc Reunion using 'Fairytale Sheva' so i havent really formed an opinion. I'll be giving this a shot tonight also with Barry and Excella. Exciting times.
Already hotly anticipating the release of Desperate Escape and Costume Pack 2.

Which decent puzzles? Activating a switch that opens a door or a mechanism?
I don't really call that a puzzle.
I liked this DLC, but I thought it would be way better. It's awfully short, and while I liked the first part, the underground part and the Wesker fight were just boring.
There's one thing that bugs me though, and I never really got a good explanation about it. How comes that during the cut-scenes the sound's quality is so bad? The picture seems to have an awful filter as well.
It really ruins the cut scenes...

What happened to those cutscenes in the trailer? D=<
I just downloaded/played it. Overall it was enjoyable. The boss fight against Wesker was really "meh" though.
