  • RE3's Dodging?

Ok, I'll admit it. I'm an RE3 noob . No other Resi game makes me suffer like RE3's Hard mode... Why? Because I can't dodge enemies. Sometimes randomly I manage to pull out a dodge move (pressing R like a maniac ) but I think my life would be a lot easier if a learnt how to pull this badboy off.

So any tips & help you guys could give me?

    Thanks!

Thanks Gene, I used the search function but couldn't find anything so I decided to ask. I just took a quick glimpse to your post and there are some amazing tips that should help a lot.

I always dodged by pure luck while trying to aim and it worked most of the time

Nemesis is pretty much the only enemy I can consistently dodge...

I wish I was so lucky , anyway I know how to "classic dodge" (running around zombies to save some bullets) but some parts of RE3 really force you to rely on it's dodge system. Damn zombies in narrow corridors, those are the ones who are giving me a pain in the ass. And I don't want to waste a lot of ammo on them, to save the powder for magnum rounds

You don't really need to save ammo in this game, you most of the time have plenty of it. Just make some handgun ammo from time to time and you're fine.

Playing the mercenaries mode you'll learn how to save a lot of ammo though. With the shotgun you can kill many zombies at the same time if you wait for the good opportunity to headshot them.

I really love the RE3 gameplay, it's so well polished and fluid. Can't say the same about C:V.

On hard mode the dodge action isn't as easy to pull off like in normal or easy mode. I've been playing in hard mode for awhile now.... and I've only been able to use it when jill was in perfect health. Oh, and when it comes to zombies in narrow corridors, the shotgun is your best bet. It's helped me out a lot. If you don't mind me asking ZomBD, what corridor are you talking about... maybe I can help?

Thanks! Well the corridor I'm talking about is the one that connects the restaurant were you meet Carlos (then Nemi shows up and you can blow his eyebrows off with a lamp ) and the door to the jewel lock and Raccoon Press...

Oh... i usually do the alternate scene where i meet Carlos in raccoon press so i think the number of zombies may have changed a little... sorry, I'm getting off topic. The best way is knifing. Use the steps near the back door of the restraunt, lure a zombie and since resident evil 3 allows you to move freely on stairs and zombies use only that acid vomit attack, not to mention they're slow with that attack, you can slash their head while they're walking up, you can do circles around them and slash they're sides or back, go behind and slash their legs until they become crawling zombies and let them bite you and kick their heads off, or another alternative method... use the shotgun if you can't find shotgun bullets... gun powder B is your new BFF. Make sure you have the reloading tool with you and when you shoot them... aim up and wait till they're practically on Jill's tits, but not to close where they can grab you... lol
Hopefully these ideas will come to use when you play

Wait, what? Which version of the game? There are only two difficulty settings.
