Mr. X....having played the first one, I knew zombies were going to pop through windows. The licker took me a bit by surprise...but Mr. X...no thanks.

there's nothing really scary about it, its more suspenseful. being scared is kind of childish, but having a suspense feeling that follows you from beginning to end is something worth having. the game has its moments where you don't want to proceed down a narrow hallway or downstairs - but that's a good feeling to have.

If you read the posts, most people were children when they first played the game.

Playing through RE2 now isn't scary since we've played through it many times and we're older, but the first few times I myself played it, I was a little kid and it had some pretty damn scary moments. But that's to be expected when you're 9 or 10 years old, even if you're a horror movie buff like I was.

i've been a fan of horror movies since i was like 4 or 5. so yeah, that's probably why i didn't find it scary, because i've seen worse things by that age.

Yeah I liked horror movies at the same age and it still had me scared. I think it was because I actually interacted with it insted of just watching a regular movie and not doing anything.

If it wasn't the interrogation room licker, it was the licker through the art room skylight.
                  Mass production? Ridiculous!

That part in the shed outside the RPD. Those doors and climbing down the ladder to go back to the main hall of RPD scared me. The zombies in that shed just scared me. Something about small rooms and no where to run! The ladder just sounded freaky to me.

Maybe I'm a scaredy cat! I will admit it!

interrogation room licker....by far. And then you play again and go back in there and nothing happens...

funny thing is you know it's coming and you still jump a bit lol.

Like everyone else seems to of said, the Lickers were the main source of fright for me. It was the first encounter with one and the two-way mirror Licker that scared me the most. I was very glad to see that the first encounter still made me jump in Darkside Chronicles.

Mr. X has always scared the crap out of me as well. Any game with a stalker enemy makes me either shit myself out of fright or make me incredibly jumpy during their sections.

The licker in the interrogation room and the other licker in the gems room.
Honestly RE3 scared me a lot more, maybe because it was my first RE game. Can't forget Nemmy
REmake is still the best when it comes to scares.

Well for me its the very first licker you see in the game. God thats just such a freaky little scene what with the driping sounds of blood and the decapitated policeman on the floor was damn scary!

Oh my god. Nobody mentioned it at all....the alligator in the sewer made me nearly crap my pants!!! Definitely the most scary part, for me anyway. The licker crashing through the glass coming in a very close second. The licker crawling across the wall was third.
