  • Lost In Nightmares DLC Problems (Xbox 360)

So last week I downloaded the Lost In Nightmares DLC, And upon loading the it, It went too the Lost In Nightmares title screen, I started a game, And while it was loading, The "Disk Is Unreadable" error popped up and returned me too the Dashboard.

Now, When I tried too play the normal campaign after downloading that, The same error comes up upon the loading screen, But when I deleted the Lost In Nightmares DLC from my hard drive, Everything seemed too be working, Except from the DLC itself of course, But the Merceneries Reunion was still there and working.

    Heres what I've tried:
    -Cleared System Cache
    -Recovered Gamertag
-Delete the DLC from my Hard Drive and download it from my download history.

Now, I've called the Xbox Customer Support around 6-10 times, and all they've accomplished so far is refunding me my points back, Or telling me that theres nothing else possible.

If anyone has suffered the same troubles with this DLC or any other ELC, If you could help me, then thanks alot .

If it's saying the disc is unreadable...then there's your problem surely?

So, either try burning the disc to your hard drive and see if you get lucky that way, or try a different disc.

Hmm, But when I play the game when the DLC has been deleted, The game runs fine.

I had a similar problem the other day when I recently got some DLC for Oblivion. When I started the game after downloading the DLC, about a second into the intro, every time it would pop saying the disc was unreadable. I cleared the HDD cache and that sorted it out, so it's strange that it's not working for you. I do have Oblivion stored on my HDD so that might have made a difference? But then I figured that's what caused the problem in the first place.

Might be a good idea to ask on an Xbox 360 forum like TeamXbox.com if you're still having trouble.

What type of HDD do you have?

I've seen a similar type of thing happen when the HDD is pretty much out of available space or likely to contain highly fragmented data (or potentially broken sectors?)

If you have Resident Evil 5 installed on your HDD; delete the installation and delete the Lost In Nightmares DLC pack. Now redownload Lost In Nightmares and try to play it with Resident Evil 5 just running from its DVD.

Alternatively, if you didn't have RE5 installed on the HDD already (or absolutely want to install the DVD again), try to delete something else from your HDD to free up some extra space before you redownload Lost In Nightmares.

The important part is that you free up enough space to ensure that Resident Evil 5 + Lost in Nightmares, when it redownloads/-installs, will not be written to the exact same place on your HDD as they were before. I've encountered similar problems Dark Void and Prince of Persia. The above did the trick.
