Interesting questions have presented themselves. Is Alex a guy? Is Alex alive? Will Alex be in the next RE title, possibly filling the shoes of Albert as the new villian? Is Capcom just fucking with our heads? To know the truth, we must turn to the man who has all the answers.

Ever since the TGS trailer I thought Excella was going to be the next villain (the trailer made it look like she was going to betray wesker and be the next RE villain) but she ended up just being his "bitch" and that whole thing went down the drain...

^ I remember thinking so, too. In my mind, she could have been a great villain. She could have been a smart and evil and senile person by betraying Wesker and shit. She could have been not just tits and ass and actually be relevant most of the time. She could have done something other than be a huge ovarian-Ouroboros blob. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

On topic of Alex, did anybody else think of Alexia? Yes, I know it's most likely not her (dates and shit), but I couldn't help but think that the dates were faked, and it was young Alexia who betrayed Spencer, who used the island as a test ground for her t-Veronica projects, and finally her disappearing (via cryostasis). So much for that.

Alex Wesker should look, act, and talk EXACTLY like Albert Wesker. lol so it's like Wesker never left us in the first place.

^ But then it'd only be tedious and redundant and pointless!

I mean, Albert was cool and all (if a bit overused), but his time was due.

Exactly, it's the Resident Evil formula. It's not like they're finally going to cave in a hire a good writer. They're not creative enough to come up with a good villain. Last time they didn't use Wesker as a villan they came up with Salazar, some random religious guy with a giant penis under his robe who didn't connect very well with the storyline at all. How come he had the power to control the ganados? How did he get this power? Who knows.

Salazar? You mean Saddler. He controlled them with the Control Plaga, it's explained in the files... (although I agree Salazar was lame).

Res 4 was a way to evolve the story and make it more than the T & G Virus and like in Res 5 when Ozwell Spencer said everything was lost in Racoon City.

but it has touched on pre res1 stuff like the pregenator virus but they are running out of baddies that are connected

                      HUNK may be Alex...

Has no one thought that Hunk, the Security Service Agent of Umbrella, may be Alex Wesker? The trailer for Revelations shows him without his mask or equipment tied up to a chair. He has Blonde hair and a slight resemblance to Albert. Also, no one knows anything about HUNK or Alex. The main thing, Hunk, has been on many missions and been the only man to return alive. Hence, the immortality virus that Alex was working on. So, in my opinion, Hunk is Alex. Also, Alex randomly disappears, and Hunk randomly appears with no background?

I hope not. I think HUNK is best left as he is - a mystery.

But you'd have to admit. It'd make sense on where he came from and what not. And Why he was the only man left on all of his teams.

Alex vanished long after HUNK's first known operation in Raccoon City. Unless he was operating openly with Umbrella as HUNK, it doesn't work. And of course, the G-Virus extraction was hardly HUNK's first dance, it's just the first one we know about. Spencer seems unlikely to send one of the Wesker children into such dangerous situations as HUNK tends to regularly face. Especally one he feels is going to lead him to immortality. Nor is he likely to be sent to trained on Rockfort Island, given the bad blood between Spencer and the Ashfords.

Personally, still hoping they just forget the Alex Wesker plan and put some effort into making a proper villain, short sighted bastards that they are.

Alex never joined Umbrella until 1998 after he successfully bonded with the experimental virus. He was given a position in the Information Department and worked exclusively for Spencer monitoring the rest of the project w candidates. But it is never stated if the virus granted him powers like Alberts, or if it had no effect on him at all.

Hunk was doing his training on Rockfort in 1996 so I think we can rule out the possibility of them being one and the same.

No one knows who Hunk is. So it's still possible. Plus there's no actual date on when Alex went missing is there? I never seen it in the LiN yesterday as I was playing it.
