The dark glasses and blonde hair look was used for the first time in MGS1; the image above comes from the mobile version of MG2:SS or the version that was included in MGS3: Subsistance, where all character portraits were redrawn by Yoji Shinkawa.

Oh yeah. I remember that. They changed Steve's looks in the Complete/X version.

And I think they based Wesker on a pop star from the 80's.
