so horrible look at wesker HAHAH his not even blond !!! epic fail ....
and alice is the worst character ever made horrible just horrible !.
Yes, I completely agree. Nothing Uwe Boll has ever conceived is worse than Alice. Absolutely nothing. BloodRayne was an incredible movie, as was House of the Dead. Those characters were completely personable and awesome.
Like Vogue Dirge said, she may not be the best, but she's far from the worst.
Wow... I never thought I'd say that but... these pics look great!
I've always wished it was Claire instead of Sheva in RE5, and all that story about Sherry being the tube girl, and I hope Paul Anderson is able to take some advantage on that!
Executioner looks great, just hope he's a little taller than the Nemesis from Apocalypse movie! ''

Oddly enough, I agree with this. I think Twilight has to claim the title of worst characters. Alice in and of herself isn't a bad character. There's just A) way too much of her in the movies with too much of the plot revolving around her character (seriously, I can't actually think of any plot points that don't tie into her character directly) and B) She's much too powerful in comparison to everyone else. For a hero to be effective the bad guy must be a constant danger and threat. An inept and weak bad guy will never make you feel a character is in danger.
Example; how many people think a zombie has any chance of touching Alice compared to any of the the other cast members? How about, say, those Bud rip off zombies? The executioner? Or Wesker himself? As you go up the list more character should be threatened by each enemy, to the point where the main character should be threatened by the bad guy, but with Alice? Not a hope. At best Wesker takes out a clone or seems to kill Alice only to have her regenerate. Maybe even seem to kill Alice with some dramatic death only to have the ending say or hint she's not really dead.
With RE5 we thought there was at least the chance for a dramatic 'I'll take you with me Wesker!' death for Chris. It wasn't much of a chance, but it was there. With Alice? Not a hope in hell is she going. Not as long as Mrs Anderson wears the red dress to bed...and yes, I still find it damned creepy how obsessed Anderson was with Alice and then married her actress.
But yeah, I agree. Alice is a cool character and all that shit, it's just that there are other characters that aren't Alice that would need some screen time, too.
^ I didn't, thankfully. I mean, the clones are a (imo) decent idea, but the fact that Alice already has so much screen-time makes it seem like a little too much. In my opinion, story-wise it may look good, but on film it just seems as they're overdoing Alice. Way. Too. Much.
*I thought the way Alice was presented in the first movie wasn't too bad. Main character, yes, but others got more screen-time then other characters in Apocalypse and Extinction. Hopefully, this changes in Afterlife.
The problem is, if you read one of the early versions of the script, Anderson is obsessed with Alice. I mean, creepy stalker obsessed not I think this a cool character obsessed. Then he married the actress that player her. Honest to goodness it weirds me out. I think he'd try and kill anyone who suggested that the camera isn't focused on her at least 40% of the movie.
Alice is always going to be the focal point of the movies, partially because of Anderson and partially because there's no reason not to. All Alice, all the time, sells well. Why would Anderson change it? Other than the cadre of people stalking him now, armed only with gutting knifes and a sense of burning rage.
I think Milla is quite a good actress and they could have done a more character-driven story in at least some of the films. I really enjoyed her performance in Joan of Arc and it would be nice to see those sort of skills put into other characters as opposed to *backflip* *shoot* *backflip* etc.
I will never understand how anyone can enjoy these movies. Especially the hardcore Resident Evil fans. It's a real shame that they have been kind of a hit. I went to see the first film but ever since that I refuse to give any money towards these films. I hope they die tomorow. The only thing that has me excited about these movies are the fact that this might be the last one! Yey! How about giving someone else a chance Sony. So many talented directors and writers out there. I'd like to see someone else have a go at making a Resident Evil movie.
And oh my. Honestly? I cannot see how that trailer can be worse. All Alice. All the time. The only time you see other people is when they're getting killed or standing near Alice.
But, as the cheering in the clip will attest to, it'll make a crap ton of money. This is what the people want. In fairness, if it didn't have Resident Evil in the title, I would have never seen past the first one, so...I guess I just don't understand the why of this one.
The films do focus too much on Alice. And I can see your point with the Alice Obsession. The first movie she kicks butt without super powers. Film ends with her being infected and instead of becoming a zombie, she defies the rules and becomes super powerful. Then by the end of the second movie she can out class nemesis in hand to hand combat, defies death a second time, then gains scanner like powers. Next by the 3rd movie she has god like abilities, so what way can you go after that? A billion copies.
Feels like one of those stories where a man tries to change his second wife to resemble his first wife.
Either way I'm not looking forward to this. Extinction wasn't great, same with the previous two movies. They are just lucky it has Resident Evil in the title.
