I did enjoy the first film. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was a good action flick and the idea of trying to survive underground with a shit-ton of zombies was entertaining. Same for the second film. Had a decent amount of action and was a fun movie to watch (and it had Killswitch Engage in the credits ;) ) and I found it a watchable experience. I enjoyed the nods to the original games and although it was retarded, it was nice to see them on the silver screen anywho. I think Sienna resembled Jill quite well.
Extinction though.. I can't say much about that film. While its predecessors had some form of plot and a lot of action (the plot was "we're surrounded by zombies, omg! Got to get away!"), Extinction had barely any plot and I just didn't get it. There wasn't an immediate threat of zombies, the planet was barren and it was just "Let's get to safety, and, occasionally, we'll run into trouble and Alice can use her super Alice powers!". There wasn't one part of the film which I remember enjoying, and I remember after seeing it for the first time, saying to someone next to me "Was that it?". At least with the first two, it was a relatively enjoyable experience. Extinction was just boring and fail. The only bit I found remotely interesting was seeing the White Queen, because I like the idea of the Red and White Umbrella Queens and her viewpoint on what the Red Queen did in the first film. I tend to agree and I'd have done the same if I was the Red Queen in that situation .
