how did you get into RE

So how did you guys get into the Resident Evil franchise? How did you know about the game?

For me it was not much about the time the first RE was release, I remember that I went to my cousins house; and he show us (my sister and I , I was like 10 and she like 8) my uncle's new game (RE ) , that we weren't supposed to play . Since that time I became fan of the games, but i didn't have my own PSone. I was just after i purchased a Nintendo 64 for my birthday that i was able to play RE2 the first day it was released; and not so long i bought a PSone, and RE 3 , and RE 1.

But anyways, i got into it because me and my brother used to fight all the time. but what brought us together was he'd put me on his lap and i'd watch him play resident evil. With us always fighting it was always nice to be like that. i'd watch him play for hours. he was 13 and i was 4. i cant believe i remember that. it actually brings a tear to my eye because now we're like the best of friends. we do everythings together. so i guess i always like playing it because of those moments.

I got into Resident Evil because of a mixture of a strange obsession with drag queens and Final Fantasy X.

My favorite voice actor from Final Fantasy X, Alex Fernendez (who voiced Seymour Guado) also voices Carlito from Dead Rising. So I started looking into Dead Rising. I was on a Dead Rising message board when someone said Carlito looked like Luis Sera from Resident Evil 4. So I was all, "Well Carlito is a badass so I'll go see who this Luis guy is." So I picked up RE4 for the PS2 and played through a bit of it.

I thought it was pretty awesome so I got on Wikipedia and Wiki'd the Resident Evil series. As soon as I came across Code: Veronica and saw that Alfred dressed in drag (ruining the plot twist for myself) I had to have it.

And so here I am, a Resident Evil fan.

i like that. at first i thought it was going to have to do with porno because of the drag queens thing and then it just turned out to be a series of crazy events.

i got into it by accident

my friend asked if he could bring a game over to finish cause his PS1 bit the big one and i said sure i was gonna spend my day jsut playing with my figures like i usually did but then he brought with him resident evil directors cut and i thought it was amazing. then i rented RE2 and had to rerent it cause the disc was damaged

it all started with the resident evil 4 obsession, when I got it for gamecube. Then I got it for X Box 360 & thats were everything got even better

He just replaced the e with an o in get, that's all. I'm sure it will be fixed soon. Anyways, I got into RE when it first came out. I was about eleven and my neighbor's older brother let me play it. I remember reaching the art gallery puzzle and thinking I was close to the end...as Wesker would say, "So slow"

Resident Evil 2.

I was introduced into the world of survival horror by a friend from junior high school, he had a PS One that was the shit back then. The gameplay, zombies, monsters, shotgun blasts that blow heads... It was easy to get hooked up...

And here we are... Less zombies but still a lot of love for the franchise.

My uncle had it and I watched him play it. He also had a PS Underground cd with a trailer for RE2 in it (the part I remember the most is the last part with the Aligator that comes up and tries to eat Leon then it just stops there and says RE2) and I really liked that. So yeah thats how I got into RE.

Been a fan since the very first RE. My brother picked it up for the Saturn, and then we bought it again once we got a Playstation.

Watched my uncle play the first one when I was a kid, loved it. Got my own PS1 and RE2 for my birthday a couple years later.

I got into RE after attempting to play Director's Cut at age 3 (and finishing at age 7-10, around that area). And hopefully, it'll never get into me.
