    Llama, no.

That's...what I was thinking. I didn't even know what the hell a video game was at three, let alone understand the concepts of playing one.

My sister was 8, and we both thought it was some sort of mystery-puzzle game (lol). So I was all "googledrgs purzzle? i liiieeeekkk purrzzzllleeessss", so we played! We were confused (cops in a puzzle game?). Then frightened (mansion? it was a suspense puzzle game, right? heheheh... :| ). Then we saw blood ("NO! IT CAN'T BE CHRIS' BLOOD! IT'S ONLY A PUZZLE GAME!") Then we saw Kenneth getting a massive, bloody hickey from a violent, undead whore. She shut it off, and we never looked at it for about 5 years. Then she was all "Oh, hey Ray. Wanna play that weird game we thought was apuzzle game but was probably an animated snuff film?" And I was all "... sure?" And we played! Then REmake came, and horrible memories returned. "SAMMICHES IN... HD!?!?!?"

You remember an awful lot about being a 3-year-old, man.

Yes, yes I do. Well, most of them was my sister restating them. But, then again, I shouldn't trust her. She made me believe I was a genetically engineered cybernetic-weapon for 4 years. 4 YEARS.

I played video games when I was three. :p Poorly, let me add, but I definitely played some. I was living in Germany at the time, and our neighbors had a Nintendo and thus were the hottest shit in our apartment complex. We used to play Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 quite a bit. Of course, playing Mario at three years-old VS playing Resident Evil is a vastly different experience, but you know.

I first played RE...sometime before it's release, actually. My former brother in law downloaded stuff all the time and one of them happened to be BioHazard. It was glitchy to the point of unplayable, but it did mean I'd seen the proper intro and Kenneth's head scene.

Then I crashed at one of my friends house a few months later for his Birthday, and imagine my amusement when he produced this brand new game...

              Been playing them ever since.

I played videogames when I was three as well. Used to play the NES round my grandma's house and then she gave it to me for my fourth birthday when she saw how much I loved playing it. I got into RE because of my aunt. She suggested RE to my mum, lent her the game, and she played it while I hid behind her with pillows. Then RE2 came out, she lent her RE2, and we kept it for a good few years. Then RE3 and Nemesis scared the shite out of me, but I bought that with my pocket money. By Code: Veronica, I was playing them on my own and my dad used to meet me out of school with RE action figures he'd bought me from town (Nemesis and Nosferatu).

I think I still have my original RE3 PSX which has the £30 sticker on it.

Well although i cant remember the defining moment in which i fell in love with the series i do have a collection of memories (not sure if some are real or just my imagination) of my friends older sisters friend playing RE1. What good times, me and my mate used to mainly just sit around and watch him play as we were too scared to play. I remember once when he let us play because he needed to go to the bathroom and we pretty much just freaked ut haha. Also i have a memory of the guy entering a room in the mansion in which the whole room was completely black and there were to zombies on either side of him blocking each door. In my time playing the RE games i have never seen this room since! does anyone else know what im talking about or is this some fabrication of my mind haha.

I love these threads, sharing memories is like eating a cake.
Yeah I don't know where that came from; ANYWHO!

I started to play games when I was 3, but only Tomb Raider, Tenchu, Sonic and Mario.
When I was 4, my brothers had got Resident Evil 2, I used to always watch them play other games, so this was no exception.
The game was fricken scary, I did actually have one or two plays of it, but the furthest I got was Kendo's Gun Shop lol.

Shortly after they completed 2, when I was 5 they bought 1, and again, I watched as they cleared through it with my pillow infront of my face if anything scary came up.
Silent Hill came around the corner then, and hooooooo, I've never been so frightened as a kid in my life.
I had to cover my eyes with my pillow alot, but it was the same watch them complete it way.
I even remember every detail of the boss battles they had in RE1, RE2 and Silent Hill, aswell as their reactions...
Rinse and repeat for 3, they were the same.

Code Veronica was bought for the DreamCast, but only my first older brother was interested in it, oddly.
He never completed it, and I never really knew what was going on, don't remember much about it apart from me having a go, getting upto the first bandersnatch I think, and just freezing in fear, never playing it again.
...Not until X in 2002 were I payed with my brother, half and half, then I completed it in 2004.

Then I was independant, I bought both Outbreaks, Survivor 2, RE4 and RE5 in the coming years.
As for Silent Hill, when I was 12, I decided to get over my fear and replay the first game.
Didn't complete, wasnt scared anymore though, so I eventually bought every SH that's come out so far, completing every one. (except 4, which scares the shit out of me even now)

Now that I've bored you with my life story of RE and SH, have a nice day? xD

Was about a month before the release of the first game in the UK and I knew very little about Resident Evil but I was already excited about it. My brothers friend came over, my brother and him were going to go over to his house but before they went, he let me play his pirate copy of RE for 10 minutes. And that was it, I was hooked.

Thinking about it now, I had no idea how that pirate copy worked on our PSX because it's not chipped or anything. Anyway, when the game came out my older bro bought the proper game.

I bought a PlayStation and a copy of Resident Evil Director's Cut, was pissed that the box said it came with a RE2 demo, but all I got was the German version with the color intro.

Damn that Resident Evil 2 Demo. Was babysitting a neighbours kid (ahh the glory days of being 14) and he was one of these lucky gits who got everything. So he had a PS1. So whilst there waiting for his parents to return I got to play Tomb Raider 2 and the RE2 demo. Instantly I wanted a PS1 for RE2 (sold all my Power Ranger figures and Zords to buy one). At first when playing the demo (as it ended quickly) I didn't know that herbs were used to heal you and I expected to find "survivors in the other rooms" who would heal you up. Well gone are those noobie days.

A year after Resident Evil came out I was 6 and my brother's freind came to our house with his PS1 and Resident Evil and when I saw the first zombie I ran out the door but theres days no one would consider it scary but back in those days it was.

But I really got into the series when 2 came out but same thing happen to me when I saw Marvin turned into a zombie I almost died I had nightmers for years evan know I still have the odd dream with him turing into a zombie.

My uncle had it and I watched him play it. He also had a PS Underground cd with a trailer for RE2 in it (the part I remember the most is the last part with the Aligator that comes up and tries to eat Leon then it just stops there and says RE2) and I really liked that. So yeah thats how I got into RE.
i think i actually have that underground disc laying around somewhere
