I first played RE2 on my brothers N64, it wasn't his game, it was of a friend of a friend, so I had it for one night, I was little, and i couldn't get pass the fist part, and I mean the FIRST PART.

Then, a few years ago a friend bought a PS2 and I him and a friend play RE4, i really liked it, but was afraid I might suck, so I never played. Then, the nex year, my little bro bought a PS2, and I went and bought RE4. I fell in love with it, it was sooo great at the time. I noticed the MINOR previous plot references in the game, so i wanted to know about that, and that is how I started playing RE games, to know the story, and now... I consider myself a great RE fan!!! though yes, I prefer the new gameplay over the old static cameras.

If I think about it, I was playing games when I was three years old, too. I just don't remember all that many details. I remember playing games like Super Mario Bros. 3 and Sonic the Hedgehog and stuff like that, but I have no recollection of details. I just remember being there.

Sweet. You should try to find it, I'm sure someone would pay good money for it...then again, it's also a good collector's item to keep.

Agreed, it's pretty fun and interesting to hear everyone's RE origins lol.

I absolutely loved seeing a friend play the Alone in the Dark games, I couldn't afford a PC and I'm a lousy gamer. In fact, I've never really seriously cared for videogames, ever. So that was it. A few years later, SOMEHOW while in school, I had access to a playstation with RE1 and RE2 (which had JUST been released), it was love at first sight!

I loved: the cameras, the backgrounds, how well objects were hidden throughout, the limited ammo, the enemies NOT respawning without a reason I thought it made the game way better and the fact you could chose to remove the music making it more tense for me, the bonus minigames, etc...

RE3 was fun. I like all the Capcom RE clones like Onimusha or Devil May Cry (though I like that one a little less, I've only ever finished the first). Someone tried to get me into Parasite Eve, I found the controls and system too complicated.

I guess I should play Dino Crisis next, I haven't even tried either.

I didn't start playing video games until I was around 6ish. We had an Atari and a NES...but the only times we played them were when we were either sick or when the weather was bad. I certaintly can't recall finer details about the games except for the ones I still own and played later on in my childhood.

I remember when my brother and I first started playing RE. The Saturn was in the living room of the house, and my mom was sitting on the sofa folding some laundry. She was laughing about the voice acting, though the title screen totally freaked me out and I couldn't get why she kept laughing.

I'm feeling really old reading these, I'm probably one of the few people who was actually old enough to play the original game when it came out.

I was one of the people who didn't think it was a great game. I saw it at a local electronics store, and thought it was stupid. I watched as the nervous looking store clerk exclaimed how the game was doing so well overseas. I watched as a balding old man, probably in his mid-to-late forties control Chris across the 2nd floor of the dining room, yelling that he had no idea what to do while saying it was one of the best games he had seen. To me it looked like another 3rd Person adventure game I didn't want to touch. I decided to continue on, and left the store to do something else with my dollar. While I was there I never saw a single zombie, or any of the FMV, opening or CG, and so only assumed the game sucked. Boy was I wrong.

About a week later, I was around at my friends house. Both my friend and my friend's brother were raving about this game. Seeing as this was the first time I had heard the title, Resident Evil, I had no idea that it was the same game I had seen at the store. He brought it in and showed it to me. Looking at the back cover I realized it was the same game, but after hearing stuff about it I decided to give it a shot. After seeing what lead up to where I had seen the old man playing, I had decided I liked it. And that's where the Resident Evil Legacy started for me.

I found out about it when i was in primary school...about...10 - 11 years old.
I saw a preview for RE3 in game magazines and such, and also there was a 5 minute special on Nemesis on TV once.
Thats when i first got interested. =P
My first game was of course RE3 (which scared me half to death when i first played) and then RE1...and then RE2.

Believe it or not, i didnt actualy complete a Resident Evil game until my teens.
That was when i started to become immune to horror games aha.

Also embarrasingly enough ive only ever completed a RE game on easy (well except for RE4 and RE5) because im not very good at the games haha

A friend of my elder brother had the first game for the PS1 and he brought it once to our house and he and my elder brother played it. That's when I first knew of it.

Then my brother bought the Director's Cut edition and it took some time before I actually played it because I found it very scary, I used to watch him play instead. When RE 2 came out and we bought it, that's when I really became a fan and played for hours. I still think that game is the best videogame of all the series.

Well, It started when I was around 4 or 5'ish, My Dad bought a PS1 with a bunch of games from an old games shop near our house, He got a bunch of games like Driver, Silent Hill 1, Grand Turismo, Resident Evil 1 and 3.

I watched him play it for hours on end, he was never able too beat the 1st one, But managed to beat the 3rd, Upon the Code Veronica release, My dad sold the Playstation and bought the PS2, He never managed too complete Code Veronica, I think he got to the Tyrant on the Plane and didn't ahve enough health.

When I was 9, I went through my dads old game collection, and found Resident Evil 1 and 3 there, I played 1 and 3, But died almost instantly on both, a few years later, I found the PS2 version of Resident Evl 4, And played the crap out of it, I managed too get too the Castle and then got the Gamecube version, along with most of the series, and Thats pretty much the origins of how I got too the Resident Evil series!

My father was the one who got me interested in Resident Evil.I got my first copy of RE1 in 1996,which I still have to this very day with no scratches on the cd and still enjoy it.me and my dad used to stay up late nights and play it.we don't do that anymore.those days are history. Now my RE games are locked up in a display case in my game room not to be touched unless I get the urge to play it again.I mostly play the pc version so my console versions don't wear and tear.

The first RE game I played was Resident Evil 2. Then later on I played Code: Veronica X. I didn't really get into the series until I've started to play Resident Evil: Outbreak several times.
