  • Re4 & 5 PC Modding Community

    Heya guys.
I'm not sure if anyone here ever posted about this, but a few months ago the Resident Evil 4 & 5 PC Modding community moved over to a brand new host.

We are well established there now, so I figured I'd let more Resident Evil fans know about it!

The new website URL is :

Feel free to stop by and look at our mods =]
(Note that you'll have to register to see the mods ;) This was done to try and encourage more people to post feedback, rather then just downloading without saying anything as a guest)

Did you archive or backup the old one by any chance? seems like everything is lost.
If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

Just sayin', but requiring to register to even view the posts in the sub-forums is a massive pain and major turn off. It also prevents stuff like automatic archiving sites from backing up data (you know, places such as archive.org)

You might want to see if you can just install a simple forum script that'll allow you to put log-in tags on stuff in posts or something. (Basically tags that work like spoiler tags, but requires you to be logged in for them to be viewable. Or the type that requires someone to post a reply in the thread before they can get to see the content within them.)

I agree with Carnivol. You should at least let the guests see what they can download from your site before they decide to register; or, if you really want to keep all sub-forums for registered members only, you should make some kind of gallery that would show some of your mods. Right now, when someone new enters the forum, he or she doesn't see anything that would scream: "hey, you really want to register here!" and thus, I think, lots of potential members will just go away without actually registering.

However, it's good to see the new forum and that mods are uploaded on the forum's server now instead of all those free uploading sites (rapidshare, megauploads, etc), because it was pain in the ass when you wanted to download something and then you realize that the mod isn't available any more.

I changed it around a bit on the forums.
You can now see everything BUT the Mod Releases sections as a guest.

I would LOVE to make it so you can see the mods but you can't download untill you log in, but the problem is, many of the modders there don't upload the mods to the forums, they give 3rd party uploading site links, like MegaUpload, SendSpace... etc, so the Guest could still see the mod, and download the mod, because the DL link isn't to the forums itself

But eitherway I greatly appreciate the feedback.
