Decided to give this another go yesterday, the pivot turning and the fact you can't walk up the strairs without a button press is a major announce as well not being able to run with dual weapons it's a backwards step considering RE3 and DC had these it has stop and shoot feel to which the eariler games don't bring out as much even though it's there, i'm always getting bitten by the damn bats as well depleting my health other than that i'm finding it quite enjoyable i'm just finshing the last parts of the palace but i'm stuck as to where you place the musical box disk also is there a puzzle to do in the casino room? it just looks like a empty room, one last thing how do you get the grenade rounds past the metal detector that alloy thing only has one use doesn't it for the medal? unless you revist that room later and unlock that stuck door.

Of the main 4 Umbrella titles, 1, 2, 3 and CVX - This one stood out the most to me. I guess because it introduced the new organization that RE4 (Separate Ways) expanded on and brought back Wesker. If you pay close attention, CVX wipes out Umbrella as the main antagonistic corporation while shifting the series focus on Wesker as the main enemy. This is really when fans began to realize it's not Umbrella, it's Wesker we need to worry about.
Although not my favorite, it is one of those "must have" titles in the series.Last edited by 5 Minutes; 06-24-2010, 09:43 AM.

As far as I'm aware it's possible to run with all weapons (on the PS2 and GC versions). I love the story, setting and most of all the characters in the game. However, I find the gameplay very annoying. The puzzles can be irritating, the Tyrant fight on the plane is an absolute bitch, and I think it's silly how the characters change but give you no prior warning.
Kevstah, if you've not played CV in a while:
MAKE SURE YOU FIND OUT FIRST WHEN THE CHARACTER CHANGES ARE.
I've made the mistake in the past of not knowing when they are and having all the stuff in Claire's inventory, rendering it practically unplayable because Chris has no decent weapons.
The gameplay and the general different feel of the game make it at times a ballache for me, and my favourites to play are definitely RE2 and RE3. However, I do love the characters, the setting and the Ashford family.Last edited by Alexia_Ashford; 06-24-2010, 11:36 AM.

And as far as gameplay goes, I didn't find it annoying, I thought it was challenging in a good way. It was very realistic in terms of swapping and difficulty. Although for a video game, I do agree that the character swapping was to sudden, unexpected and done at the wrong times.
Who creates a character swap immediately after a boss (Nosferatu) fight? Most players probably equipped Claire with the most powerful weapons, making Chris' scenario unnecessarily difficult. I blame Capcom for that and not the players.

It was difficult. It makes the Nosferatu battle hard as well because you can't take weapons into the fight. I try to leave Claire with only a herb, knife, sniper rifle and her handgun with no ammo with it.Last edited by Alexia_Ashford; 06-24-2010, 12:43 PM.

Exactly. And you better get the BOW rounds, it'll make the boss fight against Tyrant much easier.

I'm playing the PAL GameCube version and I can't run with any of the weapons.
There's no reset game option either.
And yeah, you put the other eagle emblem in the place next to the room where you first see the metal detector, near the beginning of the game. It's the execution part with the blood spattered all over the head-cut-off thing (can't remember the name now). You put the eagle emblem in the door and the blade drops down, and something falls from it (a key I think).Last edited by Alexia_Ashford; 06-27-2010, 06:15 AM.
