I thought they all had auto-aim?

The N64 & GCN versions do not have auto-aim enabled by default. You need to change the control settings.

It's odd how BIO HAZARD for PS1 doesn't have auto-aim, the USA release does.

I think Deadly Silence is also a good port.

Deadly Silence was a good port considering it's on the DS, but the compression made the backgrounds look awful, the best example is the power generator room in the lab because it looks like a garbled mess in Deadly Silence.

Also I find it difficult to play Deadly Silence just anywhere, I need the right environment. A big part of the appeal RE games have for me is the atmosphere they give off, something that's difficult to get a feel for when you're out and about.

^ Which is part of the reason why I usually play RE/BH in the winter time.

Resident Evil 2 on the Sega Dreamcast is the best version of the game. Hands down!

I was actually really fond of the CODE: Veronica port for the Gamecube. To me, it seemed to load faster and the graphics were more crisp. *fantasizes about Alexia/Wesker battle*

Then again, I'm partial to nearly anything CODE: Veronica related.

I think RE2 dreamcast is the best port for that game along with Re3 and RE1 saturn version

Sorry for the bump guys, but I'd actually like to say that I got my hands on the GameCube version of RE3: Nemesis and I think it may be a great port!!!

Character models look awesome and FMVs run at a good framerate! Obviously, like you guys said, no extras like the PC and Dreamcast versions. I might change my opinion on the first post.

Now I need to hunt down the Code: Veronica X GameCube port

Good luck getting the CV:X port. I couldn't find that game on the GC for the fucking life of me. I had RE2 and 3 on the GC but someone stole them awhile ago. I haven't found them at any game stores since.

^I was so lucky to find all the GC games at my GameStop at one time or another. Except for CVX. I had to buy it off Amazon for $15 mint condition, so it was a steal. And it completed my GC collection.

That's odd, of the GC offerings the REmake and 4 are the hardest to come by here. 3 is like 10 bucks more than the others. At the time I purchased CVX there were about 3 other copies there. But I guess different areas have different stocks as well.

The Gamecube versions of 2, 3, and CVX were in almost every Gamestop I went to for years and they always stayed around $40 for some reason.
