Here's some samples you can hear in the background of this vid. I liked the RE2 feel to the N64 version of zero. I also get the feeling it would have sold more units, why? I don't know.
"One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars." Resident Evil/Castlevania/Silent Hill/Onimusha/Tekken/Dark Souls
Probably because REmake wouldn't have come out close to the same time.
Yep, it just got overlooked. I think it's really underrated, I mean the plot is kinda meh but the graphics/parter zapping and music was awesome in my opinion. It also helped that I could finally drop items and come back for them later...and the RE2 areas won me over but damn, what a tease for a RE2 remake.

I wanted to save these up for the complete sound rip, but I just don't know when I'll get to that, so just grab the unused tracks from here. FLAC version will follow once the complete rip is finished. These are probably all compositions from the N64 version, but there are also some unused GC ones (like the two tracks used in one of the promotional videos). These tracks were originally discovered on the Wii disc by Gedankenschild. There are still two compositions from the GC TRIAL EDITION missing, "Rest" and "SCP-BATTLE". They slightly differ from the final version, but I just can't seem to record them without sound effects.
Now, if you want that, you might also want that one:
Information:
Ever listened to disc four of the biohazard SOUND CHRONICLE BEST TRACK BOX? Then you'll know how much they butchered the OST release for the remake – they cut half of the game's compositions and raised the high frequencies of all tracks so much that it sounds like some cheap hissy retro synth (comp. "Tyrant-2"). And they turned the volume for some of the very quiet tracks up too much, resulting in some very annoying peak problems (comp. "Concrete Bound"). This rip here uses the original sound driver and includes everything, from unused compositions to trailer and development movie extracts (117 tracks in total).
Release dates: 20.08.09: MP3 & FLAC 02.05.10: Version 2 (MP3 & FLAC) 02.05.10: Version 3 (MP3 & FLAC)
Definitely not original, the instruments sound completely different from both the samples in the N64 and the GC version, and there is no fade-out at the end. I guess this is just a fan-created MIDI 1-upped with a few...bearable soundfonts.
