To each there own. I dislike brainless popcorn movies. In a similar vein, my favorite games tend to be those with a half way decent plot. I don't bother with games that simply have lots of explosions and booms and no real plot. The Resident Evil movies annoy me because of the plot, plot holes and Alice, not because they use the name Resident Evil...and take out most of the Resident and all of the Evil. Although that doesn't help either.

As long as no one takes comments about liking or disliking the movies personally, as does seem to happen now and then, we can have talks about the merits and many, many flaws of the things.

Very much where I am at. I know the series hasn't been the best but I don't care and am able to see the good out of the movies. Lets say I have optimism and not be a pessimist.

Eh, I don't care anymore. These days I feel the games are being grinded into the ground anyways so the movies don't bother me as much anymore. I saw the first one in theaters, which I thought was pretty good. The low budget forced Anderson to have more simple tense moments instead of full blown action scenes every five seconds. Also, at that point I had no idea how much he intended to change the plot of the game with future installments. I was SO excited for Apocalypse. Let's just say I came out with my heart ripped in half when I saw it with a friend.

I'll be seeing Afterlife in theaters with the same friend that was scarred along with myself during Apocalypse (and no I didn't see Extinction in theaters, I was still recovering). I'm hoping that Paul Anderson finally directing again along with Chris and Wesker (who looks like a young Val Kilmer) and maybe even some of the 3-D effects will make it a decent film. Also, as part of the ritual I'm going to a bar before the movie, to take the edge off lol.

because I look past the fact that Anderson made this, people are praising the one movie project of resident evil by some Amateur and think it's awesome... while this guy is a professional and its some how shit... if someone can do it better then they should until then I don't see these haters making the fucking movie, so really no room to bitch or complain unless your dollar is going to towards the movie. Plain and fucking simple.

I personally will be gladly to watch the next movie and get a different perspective on the Resident Evil Universe. I have been with the resident evil games since the beginning since 96.

Oh is there a new Resident Evil film coming out? Fuck that I'm all about The Walking Dead. P Anderson take notes from Frank Darabont (A real Director who knows what the fuck he is doing). Maybe this PROFESSIONAL can teach your rookie/noob ass how to write a good zombie outbreak story. Cant wait for Walking Dead fuck this Afterlife trash.
