Depends on if Capcom can give us a decent plot with horror and old school elements while adding enough action for those who want those. I'd also like multilple playthroughs and exploration to make a return, but at this point I don't wanna be greedy. I'm fully expecting a terrible story about Alex Wesker filled with Bullet Time run and gun action.

My guess is Capcom is rushing RE6 to milk the franchise one final time this generation with the old Romero style zombies, given the current popularity of zombies in pop-culture and overabundance of zombie modes in games. I'm sure it will be an RE4/5 clone and I wouldn't put it past Capcom to have Alexa Wesker create a new tyrant.
I hope they give a reboot time to be properly fleshed out, waiting until next generation for DX11 graphics and bring a new cast, puzzles and horror back into the franchise.
This topic has so many potential great ideas, but everyone should come to terms with Resident Evil 6: Ada "Devil May Cry" Wong featuring super-duper backflip antics in scantily clad clothing.Last edited by ChuckthePlant; 10-27-2010, 04:14 PM.If you read this, you wasted five seconds of your life.

I'm probably one of the very few that thought that Wesker should have stayed dead in the first Resident Evil. That whole part where he supposedly injected himself before-hand with a virus in the event that he would die was so damn cheesy, tacked-on, and ridiculous that it's not even funny, and yet so many people were cool with it. Bringing Wesker back in Code Veronica was nothing but to provide shock value and fan service, period. Resident Evil didn't need a main villain. And before someone goes "Yeah it did", let me remind you that RE2 and RE3 didn't have a main villain. Yes, RE2 had Birkin and Irons, and RE3 had Nicolai and Nemesis, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about a main villian who was in the grander scheme of things, like a puppet master pulling the strings. And that's exactly what Wesker was, and sure enough, in Code Veronica, it was there that they decided to make him magically alive. Then they show him get killed in Code Veronica again, only to be revealed in the PS2 version that you should forget completely about his second death, and that they would re-write it so that he actually didn't die in Code Veronica. The future storyline of Resident Evil was doomed right there.
I was so against that, and that is why I started disliking Resident Evil right after Code Veronica. RE1, RE2, and RE3 are as "Resident Evil" as you're gonna get.Last edited by RetroRain; 10-28-2010, 01:01 AM.

Last time we see Wesker in CV is when he is thrown around by Alexia. And then, while still pretty much alive, he flees. Moreover, in Wesker's result screen in Battle Mode he's standing besides a submarine (iirc) which suggests that's how he escaped from Antarctica.
CVX didn't change anything story-wise, it just changed/added cut-scenes that made Wesker look more awesome (Wesker vs Alexia battle where he isn't just a wimp, Wesker vs Chris battle where he is unstoppable etc.).Last edited by Mr_Zombie; 10-28-2010, 03:18 AM.

But you're right about Wesker surviving in the Dreamcast Code Veronica. It's been a very long time since I played that, and I don't know why, but I had always thought that Wesker got burnt to a crisp when Alexia threw that fire at the door.
But my point regarding Wesker's revival still remains.
