    All that promo stuff must have been given to pachinko parlour operators as the machines were rolling out. I was living in Japan at the time, and I got my promo set (pamphlets, DVD, first aid kit, golfballs) before the machines cropped up in my local area. I got mine from auctions then, so they've all been around for a while now. I do know that the pachislot soundtrack came out a bit later however.

    It's just a shame that nobody has been able to talk to a Pachinko parlour owner into letting them capture from the machine and/or a machine to come up for sale as we'd probably get more information with it considering there are differences from the game to REmake.
    Machines do go up for sale on Japanese auctions, but they aren't cheap - and then you can imagine the cost of importing etc. I don't even know if I'd need licences or things to legally import. I don't know if it's like an arcade where you can get a board and just stick it in a cabinet either.

    I've played it, and to be honest it's really not that great. Regardless, a whole lot of work has gone into the game. At the time people remarked about the effort that went into the promo DVD and website. I have a magazine guide for the pachislot (in Japan there are pachislot afficionado monthly magazines), which has pictures of Wesker bonus levels and Rebecca and Barry fighting alongside Chris and Jill. There's even little easter eggs in the game...
    Pics of the magazine here...

    Another edit: Just to answer the original topic, it seems that that picture wasn't used in advertising any of the printed Pachislot stuff initially when it game out. May have been on the website though.

      Thank you Gene, as I said - I wasn't exactly sure as I had seen a couple of extra flyers from a family friend that had the Crimson Head on it when she came over here during the Winter snow-season as her husband had written some notes on them, she just forgot to take them out of her handbag - I guess it must have been a custom one by her local parlor.

      I think it was on the website at a point, I had a look at the site again the other day and I had thought that there were more monsters listed on there but it was down to the Tyrant and the S.T.A.R.S. members shown. ;

          That... attached image? No. That's the Crimson Head Elder, or, Crimson Head Prototype-1 as Newsbot insists we call it.

              Have you tried it on real GC though? or tried doing the same with the full retail game through Dolphin?

                Crimson Head Elder is a completely fabricated name. You won't find a single actual source calling it that.

                  Its just a nickname.

                  Crimson Head Prototype-1 is a mouthful.

                    exists in the retail game, that is the same as in the trial, and refers to the picture of the post.
                    regarding the picture of where it come from?
                    is easy to just rip 3D is a game the same can be done by programs that control the directX and Dolpin, even just with codes myself I can make it appear just the zombie and then resizing the image, but it is a nonsense.

                      IIRC, "Crimson Head Elder" originates in the Prima's Official Strategy Guide of Resident Evil.

                        A nice tip is to not take anything in a Prima or Bradygames guide seriously.
