Wait a minute... Did I read you right? Are you saying that you could kill Neptune when you first see him out in the open in the Aqua Ring? Or even make him back down at that point? That's news to me. He always killed me whenever I even tried to fight him off. So I just ran to the control room. I would usually kill him later using the power. And I would only use bullets if I was in a big hurry (and had enough ammo for it).

No, I was talking about killing it with bullets after you drain the water and the key falls into the water. The first time I (and several friends) played that part, we never even thought to shoot at the shark because you can't really aim at its body (you're shooting its dorsal fin), and because the music seems to indicate a "puzzle" way of dealing with the situation.

How about making sure every zombie becomes a crimson head and trying to beat the game that way (without killing them)?

That would be cool, but I believe there are some zombies that never become crimson heads. Also, any zombie corpses that are in rooms where hunters appear after you return to the mansion will disappear. Even the corpse in front of the medical room in the west wing will disappear, and it never becomes a zombie!

On an interesting note, I'm pretty sure that the corpse near the northwestern stairway ("a corpse is collapsed on the floor like it was an instant death," etc.) becomes the zombie that attacks you when you enter the kitchen, since the corpse eventually just disappears.

I haven't prepared any other complete lists but here's a few more random ideas. These first 2 would only be possible with a few 'exceptions to the rule'.

Resident Evil Zero
'Pussy Whipped' (silver) - Rebecca tells Billy he is under arrest and confiscates all of his weapons, leaving him with only a knife to defend himself. You must always play as Billy whenever possible. You can carry other items but only use the Knife. Give Rebecca all of the weapons and ammo she can carry and set her to attack mode. Try and get out alive!

Resident Evil 5
'My Macho Chaperon' (silver) - Chris is concerned that the beautiful Sheva will attract unwanted sexual advances from the Kijuju locals and hence, insists on escorting her everywhere she goes. Play as Sheva and use only the Knives, Melee Moves, Flash Grenades and Land Mines. Equip Chris with enough weapons and ammo to invade a small country and set him to attack or cover mode. Play through the game and see if Chris can be a successful bodyguard.

Resident Evil 2: Extreme Battle
'Extreme Extermination' (silver) - Play through all 3 levels of Extreme Battle with any character(s), entering every single room and killing every single creature.
(I remember reading that there isn't enough ammo in the game to attempt this but I've done it, so it IS possible)

Resident Evil (original)
'Hunting Hunters' (bronze) - Hunt down and kill every Hunter in the game.
(If things go smoothly, it's not too difficult but it's a dangerous job. If you get cornered, double or triple teamed, you can get killed very FAST)

'Jill Sandwich' (bronze) - Become a Jill Sandwich.

Run Jill, Run: Run away from Nemesis everytime he appears during the game

I like this one. I'll add it to my list for RE3.
I used to often run away from the Nemesis (like that song by Bronski Beat, "Run away, run away..." )

Nifty trophy ideas and/or lists.

I'm saving a backup text file with these, it'd be fun to try and do some of them as a good excuse to go back through all of the games again.

Though, love the "Herb Dealer" one.

I hate trophies and achievements. They totally take you out of the moment when a stupid notification icon shows up on screen. If the notification didn't show up, it would be cool to have the challenges.

Either way, nice list of challenges for RE3. I may try to kill 50 zombies with the knife.

Notifications on the 360 can be turned off, either just the sound of the pop-up or the whole thing.

I've changed the rules slightly to allow Sheva to also use Land Mines.
This would make the majority of Boss fights more feasible, without having to cheat.

Well I meant to say the ones that do turn into Crimson Heads. Including the ones in the labs.

REmake actually was designed to have a lot of achievement-like challenges. Like beating it on Real Survivor or Invisible mode and unlocking One Dangerous Zombie. IMO unlocking those modes or Mikami's letter plus the concept art gallery are a better reward than a trophy.

Anyway, in RE3 you also have similar achievement type of challenges. Like what you need to do in order to unlock Jill's Diary.
