I guess I never really bothered to backtrack to the beginning of the game as I felt no need to do so.
You dont need to back track, When you leave the warehouse you can go left or right. If you go left and make a full circle round you should come back round to where you started. She is on route in this lap.

From what I can recall the Hunters dont appear untill later in the game, In S.D. Perry's book one appears quite early but as far as I know the Hunters dont appear until you get to the docks towards the end in the game. (Correct me if I'm wrong). The Lickers also only appear in the Police Station so does Mr. X, Birkin, Crocodile and other things. The only monsters I can remember being on the streets of Racoon City is the Brain Suckers, Nemesis, Crows and Dogs. Nemesis is only interested in S.T.A.R.S. so that should raise the odds of survival a little. Just being Brain Suckers, Crows and Dogs.

You actually run in the the Hunter Beta's in the Hospital along with the Gama's in the basement in the tubes. Also the Beta/Gama Hunters appear in the park.

I haven't played Nemesis in awhile, but weren't the brain suckers usually in areas that were a bit safer for the average civilian? I don't recall encountering any in the street. I do recall fighting the first one on some construction bridge area or something. At least I think I did.

Yeah I did realise this when I got to this part. I think they only arrive at the hospital as you do though. When you first walk into the room there are people laid out everywhere. Including a few dead zombies and there is one remaining zombie. If the hunters were there all along they would have killed the zombie earlier. Thats the impression that I got anyway.

There is one Brainsucker in the streets when you are running down a alleyway and come across a dead Mercenary laid out on the floor (I think he is holding a letter that says he was on death row and got a chance for freedom by coming to Racoon City. But he wishes he stayed on death row because this town is hell). The Briansucker runs up the wall behind you as you approach this guy.

Screw that civilian. Has anybody dared to explain this guy here?

                  His Journal is quite interesting.

Yea if RE3 kinda happened right before re2 in the police prescient, how did those rooms get unboarded...hmmm

Well the obvious answer is there is no answer as the boards were only put up so you can't explore more of the RPD than you need to in RE3 and they didn't plan for that in RE2's development. However, it's not impossible to imagine some survivors undoing the barricades. Keep in mind the RE3 part takes place around a day before RE2 (I think) and there seems to have been some officers and survivors still milling about in there. I don't remember if that police team files had dates on them off memory, so if they don't then it could be them. There were people alive at least right up until Leon and Claire arrive - like the cop who dies on the roof in scenario B.

Those boarded doors always bothered me, because of that obvious question, with RE3 taking place before and after RE2. But they were also totally un-necessary. They could have just simply said "The door is locked", with that door-locked sound. And that would have been the end of it.

Which creates a distraction. At least with the boards up you know for sure you're not getting past.

Yeah I agree with Stu. In every RE game, when it says "The door is locked", that obviously means you need a key to get inside it. It could easily lead to people going around in circles trying to find a way to get into the room. When it's boarded, it makes it obvious.

About DIJ, I read somewhere that he's a reincarnation of the Ashford's butler?

Or, "The door is bolted shut from the other side. There is no way to get in." That works too. I'm pretty sure there are areas in the RE games that have doors like that, where you can't get in no matter what, but they aren't boarded up. There may even be a couple in RE3, but I don't remember.

This clearly proves that Capcom developers were under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs when making Resident Evil, much like the developers of the Super Mario franchise.
