  • Biohazard Archives II

Well I have it and initial impressions are a bit disappointing to say the least. The focus is on Bio 4 and 5 and in a 288 page book, UC, DC and Degeneration are completely covered in all of 22 pages combined.
Worryingly, in the story track, they dedicate 22 pages to the re-telling of the story of Bio4, yet Seperate Ways is completely ignored here, as it appears to be throughout the entire book.

There is also absolutely nothing on Alex Wesker.

    Nothing on 3.5

The character and enemy profiles are no way as detailed as they are in the first archives book with each enemy only given one paragraph of description. There appears little in the way of new info, many of the characters still have unknown backgrounds. For example, Doug has a profile of about 4 lines, but his bio and age etc are all unknown - same for the Los Illuminados gang. Other characters such as 'Hannah' from DC, are ignored.

On the plus side, the keyword sections appear the most interesting. Profiles on Umbrella, Tricell, Los Illuminados, Wilpharma, Terrasave. A detailed look at TALOS, a small section on Project W and something that may be about The Organization. It also has easily the most detailed canon timeline to date - covering all the major bases but nothing significantly new.

It has tons of artwork and is well presented as you would expect. It also confirms Ryan's Desktop to be canon with transcripts of the files about Umbrella Japan. There are also full transcripts of Wesker's Reports 1-3 and Ada's Report.

Before anyone asks about scans, my scanner is broken, but I will see about using a friend's.

Yeah ok, aside from that one reference.

Completely ignored as it is missing from the story track - 22 pages of which is dedicated to the retelling of biohazard 4. However, the Biohazard 5 story track includes LIN and DE.

To be honest, Ada's Report is the only interesting thing in Separate Ways story-wise. What you see in game is mostly what you've already experienced in Leon's scenario, only from Ada's perspective. The only additional thing worth mentioning is that Ada eventually killed Krauser, and that's it.

Sounds like they don't have enough material to fill the book so stretching it out with 22 pages of RE4 story. Ryans desktop? Haha RE canon really going to shit, not that it isn't a mess in places already. Leon and Claires twitter during RE2 in there too? ;)

I see Capcom has once again delivered us a top-notch product, obviously showing us they know exactly what the fans want, yet again.

From the sample andriasang put, I could make out the personnal data of Leon. They say he's 180cm tall.

I was sure Leon didn't have the same data than in RE2!

I finally got my copy today, and minor personal gripes aside, it is a fantastic book, well designed & produced, with a wealth of information, including the inner dealings of Wesker, Ada, and various "organisations".....I have scanned what I feel are the most vital pages for a translator to get their teeth into. Further sections to follow tomorrow. The link below is for the Contents page, full Game profiles, most Character Bios, and entire Creature Track section....
