Yes, I know. The questions about RE1 from me must be getting irritating by now, but I was just wondering - was it ever completely confirmed that Sergio Jones voiced Wesker, AND played him in the live action sequence OR was it simply one or the other?
I just thought I'd ask, as I wasn't sure after watching a couple of movies he's been in and the general tone to his voice doesn't really sound right to RE1 (despite age or variations being forced (type such as gruff, youthful or accents being changed), you generally will have a common characteristic to your voice that sets it apart from others when listened to enough).
More or less as to the same sense as Leslie Wilkerson (as I previously brought up) in regard to RE1 Jill sounding different to her voicing Tekken's Nina Williams but common similarities that make it quite noticeable to be her voice.
Anyway, back onto the discussion of Wesker - my point is, Sergio's voice doesn't sound right to my ears after watching - Flesh for the Beast, The Pick Up in which he's in.
Flesh for the Beast trailer, this one has Sergio Jones' dialogue over the trailer.
However listening to the audio I've ripped from RE1 had been irritating me as I recognize the voice and have spent quite a while going over old shows, games and the like (such as following projects that had linked the other RE1 VAs together) but hadn't been able to find one that hit my ears as a match to Wesker.
Early today, my Father mentioned to me that he went past an arcade at work and saw they had House of the Dead 4, when I remembered all the time we had spent at the arcade as a child, when he wouldn't let me play House of the Dead at the arcade - so I heard the poor voice acting and I eventually found this audio online from House of the Dead 2 / Typing of the Dead.
This clip in particular stood out to me -

Now, the interesting thing is that not only is that there but one of the VAs (for the character Goldman) sounds suspiciously like a purposely not trying/trying to be awful Peter Jessop.
There's more audio samples like that one on the site Audio Atrocities - Typing of the Dead & House of the Dead 2, but it isn't all of the ripped audio sadly (and I haven't got a copy or access to it to get samples).
I just wanted to ask for other opinions on it, though sadly I don't recall the voice actors being credited at all for House of the Dead 2 / Typing of the Dead... though I think it would be crazy to have the RE1 Wesker to the REmake Wesker together in a game if I'm not being crazy and imagining things in terms of sound. ;
