Never said he had to do the script to i'd of had Robb White and Shinji Mikami do that too bad Robb died in 1990.

I remember looking at the RE2 manual back when the Romero angle was still up in the air and seeing the ad for the "get a part in the RE movie", which of course didn't come out until many years later. I still smirk like a smug bastard everytime I see it.
I remember seeing that on my manual too, wonder if anyone ever won that contest, and what became of it.

I've listened to that podcast a long time ago, and you people did make a good point about why George A. Romero would be a poor choice to direct an RE Movie adaption. I remember Dot50Cal stating that just because George A. Romero kick-started the zombie flicks with his "Dead" movies, doesn't mean he will make a very good RE movie.

I mean in George's RE script, he made Chris Redfield a Native-American civilian who has lived his whole life in the Arklay Mountains. He made Jill Valentine the captain of the S.T.A.R.S. team, he turned Barry Burton into a black man (Not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm no racist that's for sure), and, from what I've read in the script, the self-descruct system is not only programmed to destroy the mansion and the underground labs beaneath it, but it's also programmed to destroy all of Raccoon City at the same time!!!

So yeah as far as I'm concerned, George's RE script doesn't really stay true to the games, despite the fact that he has put characters from the games into the script.

Anderson's movies make those adverts look like gold, yet the actors in them where crude as hell, Leon the most. It's such as shame no movie was made with orginal RE1 prologue actor's along with Romero it would of been brilliant.
Day of the Dead ftw think Lisa Trevor in that role
