    Sometimes works, with weird results (like with enemy as Hunter) and for example with enemy as Cerberus (02) it crashes

    For the item changing, I don't know if this was already pointed out, but with this bit (see picture) the game loads the last item you picked up and give it to you, so, if is found what code set the last item you can make it send you whichever item you want

      I get different results with that flag. For example if I use it with Rebecca I get the Grenade Launcher, I tried it with Chris and I got the Hand Gun, sometimes depending what map you're in it'll crash the game/emulator... The one imidiately left to it is the storage box, so useful to have!

      • Does this have the extra live action uncut scenes that was only featured in a 1997 ltd version for saturn disc. Maybe they came from this beta edition?

        • I really can't understand why you think that 8 enemies is limit?6 crows is not a maximum - kill spider and tons of little spiders will appear.In final build it was possible to kill 2 spiders at the same area so many of little spiders will come,far more than 8.

            Little Spiders are enemies but little spiders take up very little memory, they have simple AI code, 0 animations (the model is just rotated left and right to simulate a scurry) and their Poly count is very low as well. Much lower than most other enemies. Essentially you should be able to load in as many enemies you can until the Ram gives out but a PSX having only 4mb ram and we don't know what other limitations are put into the builds I wouldn't expect more than 8.

            • Finally got the SOUND TEST working :-)

              Controller 2:
              SOUND TEST = D-pad changes the X and Y values.
              Press triangle to stop playing the current BGM.
              Press square or X to play.

              Easier way to access the options screen since it's also tied to the inventory start and debug menu select, pressing just select+start doesn't always trigger it

              Options = Press select to first bring up the debug menu, then hold start and press select
              If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

                Is there anything special about the sound test I missed?
                It only plays a limited amount of sfx available in the room you are currently in from what I have seen so far...
                (Perhaps there is a way to play all sfx from within any room but in this case I don't know how)

                Well, try playing around with the voice test instead, it produces much more interesting results!
                Plus it's just fun to be able to replay some hilarious lines of bad voice action over and over!

                I've just tried it inside the caves!
                You'll be able to hear some weird stuff like "Oh Barry, I'm so scared" as well as the whole "Enrico thinks someone's a traitor" dialog there!

                • IDK, I think another combo is needed to switch between them maybe the shoulder buttons of pad 1 or 2 atm i'm only getting it to play the last played sound such as a door opening

                  I still can't find the scenario address, it doesn't seem to follow the normal values of
                  00=Chris, 01=Jill, 02=Barry, 03=Rebecca
                  in this debug build, here's some save sates in epsxe to see you can find it.

                  0 = Chris saving Richard.
                  1 = Rebecca not grieving over Richard.
                  2 = Rebecca Scenario.
                  3 = Rebecca about to save Chris.
                  4 = Water Gate room for enemy tests.
                  If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

                    • Does anyone know what this says? I get this message quite a lot when I'm messing with stuff I'm probably not supposed to...

                      Taking a break from the playthrough today, spent almost all day working on it yesterday, gonna have a mess around today and have some fun!

                            • Yes but I don't know how to do memory dumps within epsxe, I think you can via PEC but I don't use that.

                                Thanks! Is the effect always the same? I can it depend on what platform you're using? I.e. console, emulator etc? I tried to play as Barry in 04/01 and it's kind of broken to say the least lol. I can only get some codes working if I use them before I load the game, a lot of the time the codes wont work if I use them while the game is being played.

                                Also, what do you mean about doing memory dumps?
