    Have you tried whether the Chimera works yet?

    I'd love to see a mod which let's you battle the early version of the Chimera! (If the Chimera enemy is actually working in the 10/04 sample, of course)

      Of course, I've forget that the other builds doesn't have that room

      But I've finished the game with a normal walktrough (not using the debug menu) and the room worked, but I've noticed that if you open some rooms and the flags corresponding to that room and/or the 6-7 STAGE flags are not enabled it crashes

        Possibly the trial edition been a while since I last checked, I think it had the unused lab keys and Taser also, wind crest wasn't added till the retail version.

        I couldn't get it load but I had been messing around with the debug menu also, it's probably the same reason why it crashes when you pickup the item in keepers room, when the file was replaced the end of rdt data was more than likely truncated.

            I'd like to forget about it once and for all but it just keeps coming back to me and haunts me with all those thoughts about what could have been.

            Crapcom, you've failed me, badly...

            At least we got Bio1 prototypes as a small compensation for now!
            That should keep the tears away for a while...

            Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those "fanboys" who are obsessed with the idea that RE1.5 must be a better game than RE2.
            It clearly isn't, especially not in it's unfinished state. But I don't think it is nearly as bad as Capcom staff tried to make it in post-cancellation interviews either.
            Besides, we always want the things the most which we can't get, no matter how good or bad they really are.
            Most of us are just craving for another traditional Resident Evil game with static, 2d backgrounds, I guess.

            That, and some new code hacks, of course!

            And sorry for this waste of a post.
            I tend to get over emotional whenever I read or hear about 1.5...

                  • No it should be inlcuded in the ITEM_ALL.PIX as a .TIM but it's missing.

                    Anyway can someone test these with a real cheat device / disc they don't activate quick enough for a emulator.

                        • Maybe who knows the STATUS_FLG has 64 in total though, you can turn on/off any option in any of the 8 blocks, each block has 256 combinations.

                          1st option in block = 80 = ON all others OFF.
                          2nd option in block = 40 = ON all others OFF.
                          3rd option in block = 20 = ON all others OFF.
                          4th option in block = 10 = ON all others OFF.
                          5th option in block = 08 = ON all others OFF.
                          6th option in block = 04 = ON all others OFF.
                          7th option in block = 02 = ON all others OFF.
                          8th option in block = 01 = ON all others OFF.

                          • Oh, 8 x 8 = 64 haha. My math skills are showing there... So specific combinations have effects as well as individual switches?

                            • Each block has eight options which can be turned on/off using one of the 256 combinations so you can have 1 or 2 options on/off etc for that block.

                              Example based on the last block

                              01 = (63) - On
                              02 = (62) Bouldar Wobble - On
                              03 = (62) + (63) On
                              04 = (61) Stretch room texture - On
                              05 = (63) + (61) - on
                              06 = (61) + (62) - On
                              07 = (61) + (62) + (63) - On
                              08 = (60) - On
                              09 = (60) + (63) - On
                              0A = (60) + (62) - On
                              0B = (60) + (62) + (63) - On
