  • I got my 10 year old sister into RE :)

Alright so she wanted some Petz Imagine shit on her R4DS and I'm like fuck that, let's put some Super Mario 64 and Resident Evil.

She's like Resident Evil...I want to try it.

So I start playing it to show her, and she seems to like it.

I just found her playing the save file I left and she has no idea what to do, but she's managed to go from the stairroom safe haven to the moose room with the lighter.

    :O

She also has no idea how to shoot zombies.

BUT SHE'S PLAYING RE OVER PETZ IMAGINE

    XD

Wow. You introduced a child to stuff that could quite easily give her nightmares.

Your family will be so proud.

Ironically, you are probably proud of yourself having played the game at around her age.

              Me laughs at this thread...

Seriously, I doubt it's a good idea to introduce little sisters to games with 18+ marks on the box.
And piracy is always evil, no matter what age you introduce her to it!

Lol I love this community, half of you are pirates.

Don't deny you never downloaded MP3s.

Don't deny you never watched a bootleg movie.

And what the hell you talking about upalalapapl? You have a PSP with custom firmware and you're playing RE Beta on it...smh

Anyways, I'm sure all RE fans started playing this game when they were young I started at 7 lolol.

Difference being we don't boast about it on a forum where it's a banning offence.

                      Oopsy!

I'm not boasting about that x_x. I'm boasting the fact I got my sister into RE.

I honestly see no difference mentioning R4 and showing a picture of a PSPGO playing the old ass beta of RE. Honestly a picture is worse IMO.

Oh well, it's not like I'm directly subjecting this topic to that discussion, and hell, it's technically legal if I own a backup device and my original DS cartridge, in which I have both.

Anyways, no one is excited that she likes RE now? Now I'll show her RE2 on the PS3 :} I need to show her Yawn and Tyrant first...lolol.

I remember watching Candyman when I was 6 and Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare on Elm Street before that. Me and my sister also saw The Crow whilst on a ferry too :-) Introduce your kids to horror the day thier born your a bad parent otherwise

This time I'll make a serious post.

I really am not too fond of the idea that someone let's ten year olds play RE.
Kids react differently to depictions of graphic violence and you don't want your little sister to have nightmares because of a game, do you?
(They don't realize the difference between reality and fiction at such young age)

I will openly admit that I couldn't sleep for days when I touched RE1 the first time and I was at the edge of 15, not 10!
(RE DS was my first contact with horror themed games and it came out in 2006)
Nowadays I can laugh about all that B movie style horror stuff, but back then it DID scare me to death...

Do you really want her to see something like this?

Don't do this, it's not funny if your parents have to blame you for frightening your sister...

What are you talking about? He did not boast about piracy.

The age thing is relative. I started playing RE1 when I was around 13 years.
