  • I'm feeling generous, so when the game is used and like $15 (by the looks of things, I give it six months to reach that level), I'll pick it up used on the 360 or the PC. Then, beat it in under a week and get a feel for the multiplayer, then return it to GameStop and get my money back. This way everybody wins: Capcom gets no money, S6 definitely gets no money, Gamestop gets no money, and I get a free week of a shitty game.

Yeah... The PC version of this game could be a better choice to own, though. Considering how active the PC gamer community is with fixing the numerous fuck ups that end up getting ignored by the devs (read: RE4 PC port). And also due to the fact that they have this incredible knack for enhancing most games with cool mods and other neat stuff.

        • Squad was a mistake in one of the American manuals for the games, I believe.

S.D. Perry and Paul Anderson adopted it (because fuck fact-checking) and the BIOHAZARD Team has never used it.

            • Back in the day where plot meant zilch the gamer's manual was the closest thing to story and characterization that you could get.

              • I haven't had a chance to play this game online yet, so if anyone who has the PS3 version wants to do some co-op sometime, my ID is Turtle_Whacks.

Just please let me know that you're from THIA and who you are.

Japanese gamers got 200+ page books.

We're talking minimalistic sections that could be tweaked properly as opposed to just starting from scratch here. And then you say they might as well have explored different sections of the city all around. I wouldn't be against doing that, but they didn't so I'm not going to fret.

And the thing too from your next comment is most people aren't complaining about the Raccoon City redesign. Newcomers won't care either way. People who are familiar with character and location redesigns in the series aren't fazed that a different team made their own version of the city for this type of game. It goes without saying that the layout for RE2 and 3 would not be done without major changes regardless so the only people I can see generally upset are those that had a preference in the Outbreak games. Because in two games they created a much larger city to explore in.

They're all linear regardless of which one you say is more or less. If your definition of linear pacing is a "break in the action" then of course ORC will not live to your expectations. Granted the Wolf Pack aren't leaping and wall jumping off lasers, but the game is formatted to be in a constant battle with Spec Ops and any BOW that gets in either faction's way. Your examples of Gears of War and Vanquish do not meet the criteria of tactical four (or four on four) player co-op through a war zone setting. Gears of War and RE5 go hand in hand more with 1-2 player co-op that can afford to take breaks in the action of their story. Vanquish is a single player experience like RE4 so you can take breaks in the action accordingly. You're going to be looking at games like Left4Dead and Counter Strike where action and fighting is constant, and you need to work with a team to move your way through enemy attacks.

And their environments do take advantage of the game play style. That's why they are mapped out the way they are, and allow for chaotic experiences when dealing with Spec Ops and BOWs all at once. If you're expecting puzzles and the like then this is the wrong game to play.

We've gone over this before. Accepting the idea of recreating a location, but also saying it's needs to be faithful doesn't work. If you want to chalk it up to laziness then that's fine. But either way making locations from the ground up still takes time and effort even if they have to sacrifice not winning the hearts of some of the RE purists that wanted another Outbreak layout to travel though.

Yes, I'm sure you feel just terrible. So are you going to play the game you bought or not? And if so, are you playing on ps3 or 360?

I honestly do feel like ive been ripped off even tho i got it cheaper. I bougjt it 6 hours ago and only now found the time to play it so cant say im in a rush to play it. If i do enjoy it il be the first to admit i was wrong but i really have no expectations and thats the best way to go into a game so fingers crossed. I got it on Ps3 my username is Jimlew316 for nemore who wants to add.

                        • This game is bad. The entire gameplay is broken. I have a frustrating time trying to revive my AI teammates because not only they keep dying, but the prompt to revive them keeps overlapping with the prompt to pick up the weapon they dropped. I have seen zombies spawning in front of me literally (as in they magically appear out of thin air), saw a zombie getting stucked in a car, sustaining damage from the hunter canister drop just because i was standing in the wrong place at the wrong time etc. Did they hire any beta tester at all?

They're called opening day buyers, and these "testers" have to pay to test the game.

Right now I'm welcoming October when this game (with all the Spec Ops DLC) will be $20.
                            Mass production? Ridiculous!

                              • I've been playing the shit out of this game. I'm currently level 65, beaten the game on PRO, etc. I've also seen numerous bugs, like : Invisible zombies and hunters ( these put the ones in Revelations to shame), ALOT of game crashes. I've been respawned in a dumpster where I cant do anything. Some nights it locks up and I have to restart my console 3-4 times. I'm still looking foward to the DLC though, just because I've spent so much time with the game and beating it over and over again, new missions will be a much needed breath of fresh air. Hopefully a patch will drop before the new content though.
