I think I may have gone slightly over the top perhaps ?!

At the heart of my frustration is my own personal surprise that I could actually enjoy this type of game {my preference for survival horror is all well & good, but in a zombie apocalypse the pace & enemy count would be immense at times} coupled with the realization that Slant 6 were consequently inadequate in achieving a successful Call or RE Duty.

Overreacting? When there's over 27 pages of glitches listed on Capcom-Unity, I don't think that's overreacting.

            That's right.

And I'm pretty sure all those users over at C-U are not bashing or hating on the game either just for kicks. They bought the game and are reporting back very specific bugs and glitches.

So, no. Not everyone that actually sees those bugs and glitches, immediately turns his/her eyes away and pretends they don't even exist or blames it on Obama or some other freak of nature.

I'm convince that those users actually want to make those $60 (plus tax) that they paid in full for the game, count (who wouldn't?). And they really want Capcom to make & release those fucking patches, like they said they would.

That was, after all, the whole point of creating that thread at C-U.

Indeed, for example "spec-ops are bullet sponges (they take way too many rounds to kill) their wearing ski masks or nightvision goggles not helmets or kevlar faceplates people headshots almost don't work at all especially with sniper-rifles." or "make it so the AI can pick up a downed/killed player in campaign or at least multiplayer campaign", "- too short Campaing, you could add some DLC with more storyline ", "Enemy human AI is too powerful, it takes a very long time to kill them.", "Bug: DLC that should have been included with the release was immediately for sale on the release date" and I am sure if I keep clicking on random pages from that thread I will find many more bugs and glitches such as this.

Most of the actual bugs reported are the same 3-4, it isn't like the game is riddled with them and Hunters are running backwards.

We've got Hunters jumping into lava though!

You know I can actually go around the web right now (including from C-U) and bring back a big huge batch of quotes with actual bugs and glitches that are legit. Including videos.

But being selective with the whole bug/glitch reporting is rather pointless, though. The problem exist. Even Capcom has acknowledged it.

So expect Capcom to waste their time making a patch or two for the flawless, very polished and in no way imperfect, ORC.

                  • I'd agree with headshots on campaign. Spec Ops have too many hit points. That and Super Soldier for Assault classes needs to be toned down on MP...

For me ORC is a wasted opportunity. It's not hideously bad as some games I've tried (try Alone in The Dark for Wii. ET for Atari 2600 is a masterpiece compared with that piece of shit game), but sure there are TONS of things to fix. I'm ok with the stlye of the game, but I would loved a proper canon entry playing as Umbrella Operatives... Oh well.

                    • I bought the Collector's Edition of Alone in The Dark on Wii, the PS3 version was delayed several months and no 360 at the time. What an awful game, I quickly sold it but kept the CE stuff, then bought the PS3 version when it eventually released and had many improvement over other versions.

I haven't played the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark, but the differences between the 360 and Wii versions are abysmal.
Wii version was almost unplayable, the driving sections... UGH. Worst game ever in my book by far. Xbox was ok though, at least you could have some fun with it.

I do wish for more "ORC style" RE spin-off games. I'd like to see Capcom Vancouver (Aka Blue Castle) developing instead of Slant Six... I think they have proved themselves with the Dead Rising series.

                        • Rented the 360 version. Had to turn it off after City Hall out of boredom and slight frustration at how little relation this game has to the series.

I encountered a lot of disappearing Zombies. Especially when I was just two meters away.
Crimson Heads are utterly retarded and spend their entire existence running around in circles. Less threatening than normal Zombies.
Lickers don't jump, they just glide or "zap" to a surface. I found this hilarious.
Partner AI is worthless. Any comparison to Sheva in BH5 is utterly invalid, as she is amazing compared to these dumbfucks.
Gun sound effects are terrible. Why does an M4 sound like an M60?
SPEC OPS are bullet sponges and damage/hit detection is completely fucked on them. Their AI is also retarded.

EDIT: And the "Raccoon City Mascot" isss... a generic raccoon. How fucking witty, Slant Six.

Most of these have been addressed already, but this is just what I've found from my 30 minute excursion. Will probably continue later.

You have no idea how glitches or bugs actually work, do you? There's no such thing as "actual" bugs. It's either a bug or it isn't. Some are more common than others ("the same 3-4") and some are rarer, but prevalent. Others are like a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. It is not an exact science. Just because you don't experience them does not mean they are conveniently made up or non-existent.

                          • Raccoon City...what else would the mascot be, an elephant?

...and yes there are thigns as 'actual bugs', they are the things that are actually bugs. "Enemies have too much health", "Day 1 DLC is not free" and "Too short capaign" are not a bugs, is how the game was designed, posting them in a bug report thread does not make them bugs.

The mascot would be the one in Outbreak. But that would require work.

I haven't bothered with the topic on Capcom-Unity, but I am certain absolutely not a fucking person has called "Day 1 DLC is not free" a bug. You're complaining about nothing.
