  • Well... these missions surely are much better than the main ones. I hope we end up fighting the other forms of Birkin and Nemesis in the next ones.

    • Spec Ops as a whole makes the U.S.S. missions pale in comparison. Everything about this campaign is just much more well put together. Makes me wonder if Capcom pushed Slant Six to release the disc game earlier then they wanted to and if so would we have had a more well polished game which seems to be what Spec Ops is.

I've watched videos of the first four Spec Ops missions, and I completely agree. I think one of the reasons why it's more interesting, though, is that you have more interaction with the classic characters (since you're not trying to kill them). Running across Carlos carrying Jill after the courtyard Nemesis fight was actually pretty cool, as were the Claire and Sherry sections in mission four. None of it may be canon, but it's not hard to imagine that it could be. I didn't get that feeling with any of the USS missions.

In a nutshell, even though the city is just as dull as it was during the USS missions, I actually felt a tiny bit of nostalgia during the Spec Ops missions.

I'm going to wait until the "complete edition" of this game is released (we all know it's coming), and then buy it used.
        Mass production? Ridiculous!

It couldn't, but it's nice as it is. Better than the whole bullshit hype train about KILL LEON.

                      • Must say, am absolutely dumbfounded by how good the Spec Ops sewer level is. Genuine tension, nice ideas and well paced. It's like a different team came in and did it as a guest level.

Again, shows some of the promise of the game it could of been.

                        • It's cool to hear they actually managed to get some stuff working well. Bit shit that it's in the over costed DLC packs, but hey, at this point I'm kinda astounded Slant Six didn't just upload the same game backwards and call it a day.

                              • Well the PSN store is updated and no Spec Ops DLC. Did a search just in case.
Also checked the Playstation blog and in the list of new releases today was no mention of the DLC.
And checked the XBOX live list and nothing -_-. Oh well.
