@Vito: Well since this is an alternate reality, it wont matter. However, its already been confirmed that he survived. He sent in reports AFTER Raccoon's destruction.

If you're referring to the file in Survivor, the entry that was dated after the destruction of Raccoon City was not written by Nicholai. It was a translation error.
