There's a new trailer, looks likes it's for E3.
The game is still very "meh" for me, but I liked the trailer, makes me think it'd be better as a CGI movie. I wonder what will be the role of the to new characters.

Nice trailer. Intrigued by the sudden appearance of two new characters (one of who looks worryingly like Ada in a dodgy mask...please don't try retconning her into the team, Slant Six, her story is weird enough without it) but I'm still very meh about the whole 'hunting survivors/cops' thing. The more I think about, the less it makes sense.
With the cops, it just about makes sense...so long as you think fast. In theory the cops could have a better idea of what has happened, should have continued to be able to communicate longer than anyone and receive more information including, potentially, any information on who started the Outbreak. The UBCS forces could have had orders to report cops, too, so they could get shot.
But there are still gonna be way too many cops for 4-6 people to take out. If nothing else, after the RPD falls the surviving cops would be scattered throughout the city. The only way to find them would be to hope they're radioing for help and use that to find them, but you'll still be looking for needles in a haystack full of ferocious man eating monsters. Even a dozen cops scattered around the city would be pretty much impossible to kill in that situation, not without several teams.
And that's assuming they can even locate half of them, that they don't stop radioing things in once they realize the RPD is gone or when one of there number reports being tracked by some really freaky S&M escapees. Once that happens they can be walking down the street next to you, making lunch in a small cafe you walk by, and you'll never know they're there unless you're lucky enough to see them or hear a gunshot.
For civilians in general, it's never going to work. There are too many of them, some of whom will have escaped the city before the team can even arrive, others who will be being protected by UBCS forces or just armed to the teeth themselves in groups big enough to stop a 6 man team trying anything. Cops work, if you think with Capcom logic, but Civilians aren't going to make sense in any fashion.
This is why throwing stuff into a game scenario that already has 4 games set in it is just a bad plan, especially if you intend to interact with people from those four scenarios - it inevitably fucks things up royally. And we're still not clear as to whether this game is meant to actually be canon or not, since last I heard Slant Six was claiming it was, which will just make things an utter mess if they do.

Didn't Capcom say that this was a non-cannon game? I mean, if you can alter Resident Evil history by killing Leon, then you can't really consider this game cannon, especially since it is a side game and not part of the main series. I'm pretty sure it was stated in the very first interview of this game that it was not cannon. I don't care if Slant Six thinks it's cannon, it's Capcom's franchise, hence it's ultimately Capcom's decision.
The trailer was "okay." They need to start showing some damn gameplay footage. Out of all the pictures and videos they have shown, nothing shows off the gameplay. I'm tired of seeing cutscenes.
