Not sure if serious, but considering you're going on about big breasts, scantly worn clothing and showing off skin I still need to lean back to Jill and Ada on this one. Especially RE3 and RE4 where Jill had on very little clothing that could easily be "torn off" if assaulted. Ada shows plenty of leg in her red dress. She had a 'Assignment Ada' outfit that much better resembled being a spy lurking in the shadows. They even redesigned her RE2 outfit to have high heels included for RE4 and DSC. To have her even going on a retrieval mission in a red dress during RE4 is silly because in RE2 she at least had a cover story for her civilian attire. The high heels were only added for fanservice. Ironically ORC did a redesign to give her boots instead of her running around in high heels. Don't even get me started on the battle suit which was skin tight on Jill, had high heels, and a zipper track that went very far down. The only reason the mind control device was added on her chest to begin with was so that she could open that area up to "be sexy". Apparently the folks at Japan find that kind of thing appealing.

I just thought I would pitch in and say I've been reading alot of video comments on youtube and quite alot of people are excited about this game. Comments like 'This looks cool' 'Finally an RE game with run and gun' and the worst one I read 'About time Capcom and Socom made an RE game together, its my dream come true' This game may actually do a little better than I thought. I think alot of people will change their tune when they experience the gameplay but alot of people are defending this game. God knows why.

In my mind, that is what she wore throughout the canon story of RE4, and Krauser's "Bitch in the red dress" line never existed. Jill's RE3 attire never bothered me as much, for some reason. Impractical? Yes. But not bright red cocktail dress in the middle of rural Spain impractical.

Ada's red dress was certainly impractical, but at least it was somewhat classy in comparison to other female characters' attire in this series.

Personally, I always saw the dress as one of several means Ada utilized for manipulating Leon and Luis. I mean, when you first meet Luis, he describes himself as "quite a ladies' man." Sure, this is probably just a throwaway line to help establish Luis' character, but it could also be a subtle reference to his interactions with Ada.

The difference here is that you kind of expect that sort of character design for female characters from a Japanese studio. While Western studios are certainly guilty of this as well, you would think that a studio like Slant Six, which has already dealt extensively with special forces and military aesthetics in the SOCOM games, would know better.

Know better? When you fault Capcom Japan and Western devs as a whole, what difference does it make just because Slant Six handled SOCOM? Just because the devs worked on a different gaming franchise doesn't mean they have to follow the same expectations on a different series altogether. That's silly.

There's a lot of reasons I've heard to jump against S6 and this game. This latest one is right there at the bottom of the barrel.

And it's hard to call Ada's dress classy when nearly every action shot involves showing some skin and having her dress raise to whomever is in her way. Impractical and absurd given her mission and the idea she could engage in combat.

As far as manipulation that's really stretching it. Ada seemed surprised by Leon's arrival so no point in dressing up for him. As for Luis, it was established rather quickly by both him and Ada that despite being a flirt this was strictly a distanced union. Luis was curious but ultimately didn't care who she worked for and only demanded that she would handle things once he got the sample for her. No point in seducing a man who is already willing to cooperate with this shady organization.

So that leaves Saddler and ganado.... Even less of a stretch. She's spotted and captured pretty easily by Saddler and his ganado. As a spy she really can't seem to hide well. There's really no reason other than gamer fanservice to have her in the dress at all. No reason.

This...along with the fact that Capcom also feels its necessary for some strange reason to make all characters have a monochromatic wardrobe. I find the dress itself to be stupid, but even worse is that its red. Wearing red in the middle of the woods, especially when there's no foliage, is such a horrible call, and utterly pointless. I don't blame the characters, because they aren't real. "Ada" didn't wake up and say "I'm wearing a red dress in the middle of the woods during autumn!" I blame the creators for not having intelligence enough to be practical. And just because the subject began with Party Girl's attire... I'll harp on that too. You don't see very many military units dressed in different clothes. Fatigues are typically the same. That's the whole point of a unit: uniformity regardless of gender. For games like RE, I suppose its to give their characters "character" and "personality"....but that's what their interactions with others should do instead.

I'm calling it now: if Jill, Chris, Claire, and Ada show up in a new RE title, their clothes will be (respectively) blue, green, pinkish/red, and red. Because Capcom just has to forcefeed us the same boring color for each character every time. It was understandable and even acceptable with PSX graphics....but not today.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if nude zombies showed up again.

Considering we had them in RE1 and the like as the lab zombies, it would make sense in Birkin's Labs or even the hospital to have some of them.

But I think having a nude zombie doesn't exactly count as sex appeal or anything like that.
