No offence to the wife, but this means nothing in the RE series which regularly pulls BS biological facts and treats them as completely possible. If bringing up reality here then we're treading into 'the entire series is bullshit' territory.

Except not once has the series claimed, outside of a single mistranslation, that viruses contain plant cells. You are trying to twist facts to give credence to something that is fundamentally bullshit and clawing for any excuse you can while doing so.

      • The series deals with virus' and biological components. While a good bit are far-fetched, a few can occur. As such, the series deals with biology and anatomy. The series uses a good deal of scientific fact and builds off of that, creating things like the various virus' and parasites we've encountered.

        • Most things in the series are somewhat plausible even though they stretch the realm of possibility to its limits. It's grounded in reality, it just has something fictional (Progenitor Virus/Plaga) with extreme qualities while still abiding by reality, for the most part. Nothing is really biologically impossible in the series, it is impossible because it a work of fiction and nothing like the Progenitor Virus/Plaga exist to allow for such things to happen, although some of the things they do are possible.

You need to learn how to read better, I never said the virus contains plant cells.

            To quote myself:

"so a virus from a plant causes a plant type reaction in cells it infects"

Nowhere here does it says the virus has plant cells, just that is causes the same type of reaction seen in plants.

THis is seriously off topic and cannot be bothered with someone who cannot properly read english. Out.

Nice cop-out. A virus from a plant cannot give different hosts "plant type reactions" (a reaction which occurs only in plant cells, which a virus doesn't have) just because it once came from a plant. Viruses do not inherit plant traits or cells just by being able to infect them. Even if the virus had genetic material from a plant (like t-Veronica), it still doesn't have their cells, thus cannot cause or experience plasmolyzation. Ever. Conversely, Jessica and Lisa can't experience it because they also do not have plant cells. It's not "more detailed", it's "more retarded".

Keep proving how fucking idiotic the stuff you come up with is though. You're amusing everyone but yourself.

              • Will you two either A) Discuss like adults or B) ignore each other please? I get more complaints about you two fighting than just about anything else.

                • It's really sad that Dracarys has been taking my thunder these past couple of weeks. Guess I'll have to try harder.

Maybe if I challenge why ORC and RE6 are so much alike....?

                  • Finally got a chance to play ORC and so far I'm (surprisingly) enjoying it. The Birkin chase was actually pretty intense and the atmosphere leading up to the first wave of zombies was actually pretty good. The firefights with the Spec Ops are kind of out of place in Resident Evil but at least the gameplay is serviceable if not a bit clunky.

                    • I'm considering buying this game. I know many fans are disappointed with this game but after doing research and watching videos (and also with the new patch out now that fixes several issues), I have a pretty good idea as to what to expect -- a Resident evil-themed TPS, nothing more nothing less, correct?

With that, my question is for people who like this game.. is buying the special edition worth the $45 - $50? The artwork looks a heck of a lot better than the normal retail version. I mostly play single-player and occasional multi.. is the campaign worth it?

Badly done and barely resembling the series? Sure.

Despite enjoying it in my limited time with the game, I don't see any way to justify spending $50 on this game. Once it drops down to around $20 is when I plan on actually buying it.

Special Edition depends, the patches are nice for collectors sake as is the steelbook case. The DLC weapons aren't anything special and the alt costumes are just colour swaps. For the difference in price (at release anyway, unsure of any price changes in US) between standard game and special edition for sure it is worth it if you like the content, the steelbook alone was enough for me.

The campaign as a solo experience is pretty weak, but playing it with other people as intended is much more fun though the story will forever main very weak, the competitive multiplayer is where the game shines best and where the bulk of the community is. Very few games where two teams battle it out among NPC monsters trying to kill both teams.

                            • Thanks guys, i'm leaning towards buying now after watching some more videos and your comments -- if I can find a copy at the right price. Yes, the case is cool & patches don't look too cheap. I saw a video of the alt. costumes and they look kinda awful though (lazy swaps). Although the red one is kinda cool.

How much did the recent update fix the game? Are enemies better now? I've read that some enemies like tyrant or Mr. X just kinda... stand around and aren't very aggressive.. has that been fixed? Another person complained about "black" blood on Amazon, like the game is censored or something. Whats up with that -- is this true or is his tv just effed up?

If I do end up with this game and like it, would you say that the 6 dlc Spec ops missions are worth buying for $20?

Tyrants are either retarded or, if they knock you down, they will repeat the same attack until you are dead, and you are unable to get up. And that is true, the blood is just really bad in the game. Like goo. "Changes" color depending on the lighting.
