If people really care about Revelations, they should buy a 3DS. It's that simple.

The fact is, the game is being tailor made for that portable.... and it involves more than just the 3D element. The team behind it also using the touch-screen and probably toying with the mic, the cameras and whatever else the 3DS system offers them. Including the Street-Pass functionality.

Besides, it kinda gets annoying to hear ppl complaining that they don't get to play X, Y & Z game on their console of choice.

    Branch out ppl.

What about people who wanna buy a 3DS but, for example, can't because of funding issues? Or don't like the 3DS for wahtever reason? But still want Revelations? I got a wife and three kids to feed. I really cannot justify buying a 3DS, especially since, currently, the only game I want is Revelations. Everything else I either already own on another console or don't care about enough to want.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't me going on about how it should be a console I already own. I would love to see it on one, but I don't deserve it. I'm just trying to point out that if you care about Revelations, you'll buy a 3DS, is a fallacy. Some people simply can't afford the damned thing, and no ammount of exclusive content is going to make the system cheaper this year. And when you already own 4 generations worth of consoles and handhelds, including all the current gen toys, it's kinda frustrating to see the one RE game you actually want on the one toy you don't have.

Yup. I agree with you sir. I really want a 3DS, can't afford it, as it's expensive as fuck and I have other priorities that require my fundings (paying bills is not funny at all ).

So you don't get one then. How more simple could it be?!

Reading this thread almost feels like console exclusitivity is something that only happened last night.

It's frustrasting, sure. But that's life. You can't expect to get a cut of the action if you refuse to buy your way in it.

Yes, you have to buy your way in... because as you well know, videogaming is a priviledge. Not exactly for people with fixed or low incomes. But for people that are willing to place a big bullseye on their backs. Expecting to be milked like hell by the gaming companies.

Presently, the gaming world is very diverse. Not everyone is a stay at home gamer. Thus why mobile/handheld have become more powerful and popular. And why gaming companies are supporting those devices with games worth buying.

            Such is life.

It is indeed fine, but people shouldn't expect a game to shift to there system. It has happened a lot recently (Mass Effect, BioShock, and others) but there shouldn't be any sense of entitlment. At the end of day, Capcom will do what makes them money. Me? I reckon that's shifting it over to another console, something Capcom have a slight history of doing (How many versions of RE1 are there now? Not including Remake, of course) but others feel differently.

Personally, I'm not gonna buy a 3DS for this. I'm not gonna buy a 3DS for a long, long time for that amtter. So I'd really like it if it came to another console. On the other hand...I'd have prefered Valkyria Chroncles 2 and The Third Birthday on the PS3, even though I own a PSP. I'm not a big handheld fan, I only use mine when I'm putting my kids down for a nap. So, it's safe to say I'm not the market it's aimed at, and with Mercs they would have to release it with a diamond the fist of my fist to get me to buy it regardless of console. But I'd buy Revelations for a console I own. I might even think about buying it new...if the talk of it being scary pans out.

That's the exact point he's trying to make, he can't get one He didn't say it wasn't simple. The point of the thread is for people to discuss if they want a game on a console other than the 3DS, it doesn't mean everyone is complaining.

I find it rather annoying that a main entry of the series will be only on a handheld. At least, they could have made this game also for the 360/PS3.

I don't want to buy a handheld just for Revelations, it's a waste of money.

I respectfully disagree. I love the 3DS, so for me it's great to see it getting such love from Capcom.

I voted yes, I can't understand how anyone would vote 'no'. For those who voted 'no', what if there was a game coming out for a console you didn't have and don't want but it's a game that you want and the majority vote no when there is an opportunity to port it to a system you actually have? How would it hurt anyone to have Revelations on multiple platforms, even if it is a platform you don't like. Solution is, buy it for the platform you want, don't kill choice for others just because of what you like or don't like.

Because it's a game being made around the 3DS' (and possibly NGP's) capabilities, so it would make sense to play it on the platform it was intended for originally surely?

It's not as if the option is "No, and fuck you hard in your face for mentioning it in the first place", it's going to be more a "No, i'm happy to make do with the 3DS for now".

Same excuse can be used for any exclusive on any system, or any system that has to do without a game that other systems are getting. I want Case West, but I am not buying another 360.

I thought exclusives (other than Nintendo exclusives like Zelda, Mario, etc.) were/are a thing of the past.
