Then, please, feel free to report me. It's what the report function is there for. Or possibly the PM function. I have no idea if you can report mods...

I'm confused. Thoroughly. (I'm honestly not sure what exactly is going on here.)

As for these HD releases, although I hope Resident Evil 4 will be more or less the Wii version (w/out the video files for the movie gallery - just to save space, really. Since those can be loaded and done realtime anyway), I can't help but wonder how Code: Veronica X will turn out.

As some of you know, that thing is a bit of a clusterfuck. The game uses a mixture of realtime cutscenes, pre-recorded gameplay stuff and "somewhat spiced up renders." How this'll all work out with the new models and lightning makes me wonder if we (for the first time ever) will get fully realtime rendered cutscenes in Code: Veronica - all the way. (It'd also be neat if there was an option to toggle between Code: Veronica and X/Complete - just for the heck of it.)

If people were reported on this site everytime they were melodramatic the function would be removed.

Back OT properly, for the thread starter - One would suspect we'll see some decent amount of Direct Feed HD footage and the dates will be announced around the E3 in early June. Capcom has a tendency to announce dates for games shown off at Captivate at the E3. I suspect we'll also see the final dates for the DR2 spin-off and possibly DmC.

I really am curious to see, if at all, they upgrade the games. CODE: Veronica especially simply didn't age that well, for me. Sort of a shame they can't just loot the Darkside version for it's backgrounds and such, would make the game look a lot nicer. RE4 still looks glorious though, so I imagine it will need minimal touch ups.

There's not a whole lot of effort going into CV (no surprise), but there are subtle enough differences in the lighting for instance. Pretty decent example of that in this thread.

                  They set the fog off

Like Nintendo for Zelda 3DS, not much work and a lot o money, as you can see the textures are the same as the old one

Not a chance. Why would it? Both games were pretty popular, especially RE4. Mostl likely we'll just see some new clips at the next big gaming event.

That's not bad looking, all things considered. It's more effort than I expect from Capcom anyway.

Depending on what shortcuts Capcom take, I expect that they'll do something similar to what was done for Perfect Dark. Tweak the engine so it can handle higher polygon counts and texture sizes (if limits were ever put in place) and probably steal content from DSC.

Both will probably put out at HD resolutions but 4 is where I am worried. Maybe they'll go back and reexport all their originally designed textures at a higher resolution (Some games companies start with Large texture sheets and resize them if needs be). What I really want to see is RE4 with improved Lightning, better 3d models and the inclusion of well thought out Normal, Specular and Lighting Maps.

I would like that for Code Veronica as well but having to recreate all contents again, they may shave off those aspects.

What I don't want to see is the original games with no changes other than displaying at 1080i for 1200 MS +. If they make no changes and ship it for 400MS I might grab them.

Would suggest you haven't actually seen the improvements made to Ocarina Of Time on the 3DS if you think these projects are even remotely similar.
