Yea it's easy to get some of the artwork confused with earlier games when they sometimes have a similiar style, such as the redrawn character art for RE DS. The giveaway is usually the better coloring job lol.



As News Bot stated the black man was indeed from the concept art for the first game, named Dewey. I like to think some of his traits were passed on to Joseph(such as the comic relief), unfortunately he wasn't in the game long enough to find out lol. I was always interested in Gelzer(See Dot's rank icon), who was basically a brute with cybernetic implants that eventually became the Barry we all know and love. Someone should put him in a mod

I think Barry IS Gelzer - of course in the future. Though there was a incident that sent him back in time replacing Barry forever, this version of Biohazard was never released. It may not of even existed..
