Maybe they have developed most of it in secret, and so they've just announced it 6 months in advance for a release of late 2011. I mean, it really wasn't that long ago since Operation Raccoon City was announced, and we now know it will be out later this year, hopefully.

However, it still seems like a fake write-up to me. Unless it really is supposed to be a secret, I am certain we would have read up about it by now. Although three RE games in a row is nothing to complain about.

              ^Someone's healthy!

Anyway, RE may be all about action now, but it still gets the taste buds going when Capcom bring us some hot news about future releases.

              E3 is gonna be great...

Now, I'm not saying they should introduce voodoo into the series. I mean, they could refer to it as voodoo, but instead of being magic, it would be biological in nature, whether it be a compound derived from local flora, or perhaps some kind of parasitic organism or bacteria that can't be seen by the naked eye.

Kind of like what they did in the first Uncharted. The "zombies" were created by what was referred to as a curse, but when you actually see it towards the end of the game, one could argue that it was actually some kind of organism, whether a parasite or possibly insect, that turned the people into those monsters. It's never suggested that it isn't a curse, but I think you could interpet it as something else.

Of course, with all the commotion over RE5's supposed racist imagery, I highly doubt Capcom would even consider touching a place like Haiti.
Trying to make the game based on Haitian Zombies and not including the Voodoo thing would be pointless. They could still do it, though. Voodoo priests use chemicals in a drug employed to create the zombies.

However, I doubt that the Japanese staff at Capcom would do their homework properly in regards to those type of zombies.

You just made the exact same point I did whilst trying to argue against mine. o.O

I said that it was entirely possible since chemicals ARE actually used to create voodoo zombies.

You however, suggested that 'magic' was used to create zombies. And that replacing magic with a chemical based compound would be best in order to keep the whole biohazard theme going.

Because that's what the average person associates voodoo with, and I imagine the guys at Capcom probably would, too.

Well my reply was based on what you wrote, though.

I was simply trying to point out that voodoo zombies are created with a drug and not with magic. Thus making it entirely possible to base a RE game on them.

I think I was pretty clear on what my point was.

But my point was also that it was entirely possible to base an RE game on them.

Maybe you just misunderstood or I didn't explain myself well enough.

Well, no E3 trailer unfortunately, but I guess we will know soon enough if RE6 is real or not.
