It's statements like this that make me irritable.

It's corporate speak for, 'Yeah, we're gonna do DLC, and we're gonna claim it as listening to the will of the fans for a PR boost.' It's silly. Most people can work out what's actually happening.

It's like the DLC - I'd actually have a lot more respect for companies that actually admit, 'Yeah, we want more money. We're a buisness. What the hell did you expect?' Rather than the prattle we usually get about no room or time to put it on the disc, then half the time the DLC is sitting there anyway, waiting for an Unlock code.

The Mercenaries 3D roster is pathetic by default. But they'll release DLC for that.

Better than my excuse. It uses the words douche and moron in extremely creative ways in regards to our poorly hairstyled friend. And that's all the biased wankerdom for this evening.

Gonna hold off on picking up Mercs now and instead wait until the "Complete" or "Gold" edition drops.

The Revelations demo certainly isn't worth it. We've already seen the whole thing.

Yeah, I can see this costing Mercs a lot of sales. People are gonna be expecting extra stuff, and if it is impossible to add it via DLC (can someone who has 3DS speak about how likely it would be to be able to handle a DLC style thing?) they'll be bringing out the Super Shiny version later. Just like the good old days, when every main game (except I think RE3, oddly) eventually got a Super Dooper Whooper version with extras. of course, they often had different extras on different systems, so you needed two or three copies of the game to get everything...

I have a 3DS, and considering it will have a virtual store I would think DLC is possible. Not sure how hard it would be or what work Capcom would have to go through to release DLC though.

And for some reason I think his answer about Leon being too busy was meant to be cheeky/funny. Maybe that's just my interpretation on that.

                THANK YOU!

They were quite condescending and dodgy, but yes, this was what the comments were there for. For a lamer comparison, think about how your parents would talk about Santa as if he exists when you're five.

The real reason is : Leon will be the protagonist of RE6.

ORC + Damnation + RE6 + mercenaries is too much. If that's not the reason, then I don't understand. Chris is in every RE since Umbrella Chronicles. Yet, they included him in mercenaries. Why not Leon?

Yes it can do DLC, Dead or Alive Dimensions which releases within the next month or two will have costume DLC for example.

Anyway, I seem to be one of only a few who read his comment as a joking answer because he clearly didn't want to say the real reason, not a literal answer like he is refering to Leon as a real person and believing it.

No one is taking it that way.

It was just a dumb answer, any way you slice it.

If you even need to defend yourself on that then it just makes you look silly.

                        Of course Leon's not real...right?

From most replies it seems people are wanting to take it as a serious answer, then being mad at it. This is typical of the community though, if they can hate they must hate.

I think most people are irritated by Capcom going No DLC when it's quite likely they'll add some later, or go the Re-released With Added Content approach just like the good old days. Not including Leon isn't a huge issue, although I am pretty surprised given his popularity. Still, he makes the most sense for a DLC character - more fans means more people will want to buy him, or the version of the game that gets him. It's more Capcom playing dumb that irriates me, and most of the people in the topic to my eyes at least.

And yes, there is a fair bit of fan hate for poor Capcom. But they're the ones who like taking a piss on the fans from a great height on occasion...it's hardly surprising they're getting a bit of a backlash.

Exactly, it's just Capcom trolling and trying to generate hype, that's what gets on people's nerves.
