People aways so quick to jump on the DLC /re-release train and hate for it, but maybe they just honestly wanted to leave him out same as they did Jill and Wesker in Mercs Reunion, despite how it dissappoints many fans.

Also, Did you know that the DLC costumes that are going to be released every so often for Dead or Alive Dimensions are going to be "FREE"....

So when they say, 'No DLC unless the fans want it...'
Yes, I do tend to think the worst of Capcom. I do rather feel there's a difference beween making money and taking advantage of people. And, honestly? I just find it hard to believe that Leon would be left out of a game like this completely, given how popular he is, when Barry and Krauser are in there. I think it's fairly likely that they'll offer him as DLC, and don't like the games they're doing for a PR boost.

Kawata originally commented on Mercs 3D explaining that DLC is likely, but only if the game does well at retail and it becomes a profitable 'new' franchise.
Then he says they got no plans for DLC... but their plan is still to wait and see how the game fares. If it sells, they'll approach Nintendo and ask them about working out a DLC deal. That's what Kawata said back in April.Stuff to remember: Avoid forums if you're having a bad day.
