I'd be more tempted to purchase the game myself if it didn't have the RE5 co-op system.

I really do detest that flashing red screen when you're in critical and when your partner grabs you and shakes you in order to stabilize you.

It really was one of the things in the 5th game I hated the most in the gameplay.

It has darkness, but it doesn't appeal to me for some reason. And I can't stand the try-hard thunder every few seconds. Wow I'm really terrified of it.

The mansion from the original seemed more realistic to me.

Heard today there are only 8 levels, but technically double to 16 as you get to play the exact same stage at night time.
          "I've got 100 cows."
          "Well I've got 104 friends."

I thought REmake was one of the easiest RE. It's way easier than the original and almost as easy as RE2 (if we don't take into account Nightmare mode). I completed the Real survival mode the first time without dying.

On the contrary, the advanced mode of Director's cut is one of the hardest mode of the series.

And I agree with RetroRain, I never really liked REmake. It's not the real RE1. Not the same atmosphere nor the same gameplay. It's just not the same game. It's like, you know, all the remakes of cult movies : way better technically, but without all the charms of the originals.

Back on topic : anyone knows what are all the bonus costumes for all the characters?

Well I'm old school too but I'm not that dedicated to the first one as some want to be at all costs.

IMO RE1 is easier than Resident Evil GAIDEN.

Try playing 4 minutes with the mind-melting 8 bit music blasting at your ears. Now that's scary!

Wish I had a GBC so I could play my copy of Gaiden and witness it first hand.

Well, it depends. Sure, Jill's story is a cakewalk. Never played GAIDEN, but it looks rather frustrating to play

No. Just no. Trying to sell a game based on Mercenaries was and still is a stupid idea. What's even more stupid is that people are excited for a game based solely around Merc's. I'll stick with waiting for Revelations, thank you.
