I keep hearing about this 1.5 game all over the internet.

It's not happening, ever. 1.5 isn't a real game anyway. RE2 was the eventual release of that game and I'm more than happy with that. Maybe 1.5 could have been added as a playable extra or something on a future release, but that's it.

I don't know why it can't just be remembered as a piece of history. It's no big deal. Lots of games get scrapped all the time.

I think it's because it is out there. Essentially there is an old school Resident Evil game I have never played, and I want to. It's not locked up in Capcom's basement, but could fall into someone's hands any day.

Add to that, I have a fascination with Betas and What Could Have Beens, and the fact that RE2 is my favourite game in the series, and I personally like a lot of the elements in 1.5...and you can see why I really, really want it.

That and I intend to ride Alzaire around like a pony, using a stick with the game on it and dangling it before him. I'm pretty sure I'll break a land speed record doing it, too.

As for the hacking...cute, but I doubt anyone at Capcom cares, or even finds it too amusing. 'Oh look you hacked a game wanting something...we're totally going to give it to you now.' Right. Excellent logic. If people would stop acting like its the holy grail sent from whatever supreme deity they worship and stop putting up bribes, threats, etc, maybe one day 1.5 will see the light of day. Until then, not going to happen.

It's never coming out of Capcom anyway. I honestly think it's the only thing they're determined to never make money on, but apparently even mentioning it around certain higher ups has become taboo. When it comes (and come it shall) it'll be out of the private collector's hands.

We've had a lot of issues with people threatening murder to get hold of 1.5 or another beta. Problem is? They aren't kidding. There's a guy called the Curator who got hold of some footage of it, even got to play the game, but apparently may not have a copy himself. A lot of people threatened to go to his house and do violence to get it, or break in and steal or...well, you get the idea.

The problem this creates, of course, is people who also have 1.5 or another beta are going to be rather less willing to make it known. Even if they don't want to sell, I for one would not object to full playthrough videos of both scenarios. But when the choice is, 'give information, receive death' people remain oddly quiet about the whole thing.

So please don't joke about killing folks to get betas. Just joke about killing folks for other reasons, such as the last piece of chicken or there choice of music not being Within Temptation.

way i see it...capcom are ignorant obv but they way they think...make any re game and it'll sell. it is all about money in the end of the day but they could make jus that bit more if they released 1.5

If you ask me; if the game ever comes out in the light; most likely only fans will like the game; the graphics are really out of date, nothing compare to the games now on days; remember this was a Playstaion 1 game.

This game can be a part of something like biohazard 15th collector edition, and it will allow them to easily sell it expensive, even 100 000 copies.
