I remember talking about infiltrating Capcom HQ in Japan, a LONG time ago, back during White Umbrella's heyday in the early 2000's. There was talk about somehow getting to the roof and using nerve gas to knock everyone out through the ventilation system, then rappelling down and searching room by room, searching for the computer mainframe to try and track it down or at least, crack the password files so we could explore the mainframe remotely.

Never did think about an escape plan though. We were kids back then, barely out of high school, lol

It's never coming out of Capcom anyway. I honestly think it's the only thing they're determined to never make money on, but apparently even mentioning it around certain higher ups has become taboo. When it comes (and come it shall) it'll be out of the private collector's hands.



We've had a lot of issues with people threatening murder to get hold of 1.5 or another beta. Problem is? They aren't kidding. There's a guy called the Curator who got hold of some footage of it, even got to play the game, but apparently may not have a copy himself. A lot of people threatened to go to his house and do violence to get it, or break in and steal or...well, you get the idea.

The problem this creates, of course, is people who also have 1.5 or another beta are going to be rather less willing to make it known. Even if they don't want to sell, I for one would not object to full playthrough videos of both scenarios. But when the choice is, 'give information, receive death' people remain oddly quiet about the whole thing.

So please don't joke about killing folks to get betas. Just joke about killing folks for other reasons, such as the last piece of chicken or there choice of music not being Within Temptation.

But yeah, there are all sorts of crackpot schemes to get it. My personal favourite was Team A would place a member or entirety of a Capcom Executive's family in danger, only for them to be saved by Team B. Capcom Executive is so pleased that his family isn't dead he gives them anything they want, and they want 1.5! Never knowing it was all a set up and they were working together...

The possible scheme is to get info about where do they store their dev stuff/how to get access to it/who has access to it - its possible to just find and ask one of capcom devs/ex-devs, not easy but possible. Then you need to find someone from people who got access/can get and buy it. Its sth possible to try.

Bombarded his e-mail and forum, which he ended up shutting down over the fiasco...and deciding not to release anything else to do with 1.5, which was nice for those of us who aren't lunatics.

Hate to break it to people but 1.5 data that wasn't farmed off to other projects is likely long binned. I doubt Capcom could release it if even if they wanted to.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if Capcom has it or not. Short of hiring a team of ninjas to break into the place, or getting the Yakuza to lean on a staff member to smuggle it out, it's never coming out of Capcom. I'm surprised they don't have a disc of it hanging over there Corporate Death Pit so they can gamble on who might make the leap.

It'll come out of some private collector's hands whose worried his investment will be worth nada once the game goes public. Fear of financial loss - such a wonderful thing. For me.
