i don't remember, but doesn't Deadly Silence have the same problem? i got a used copy and i never could find a place to delete some of the data off it. i would check but...mah lady's brother took off with my DS and moved away.

Hmm. I don't remember if there was a delete data option or not. But you can at least start a new game and save over older data. :/

Capcom's DRM tactics are getting worse. The resell value of this game must be pretty damn low.

You could delete save files in Deadly Silence by holding a few buttons while booting the game.

There is no such a thing as NEVER. Once the 3DS has been cracked we can use a homebrew app to manual erase and write files at will.

I don't like this with not being able to erase files ATM. Bogus CAPCOM!!

That's a nasty way of trying to make people buy the game new, or you'll have to use the original player's data. Still, it's not the end of the world...if they forced you to play the same game on the same machine it would be a huge issue, but with this the worst that'll happen is someone else's name is still on the leaderboard and you won't have the chance to unlock stuff. Which, admittedly, is pretty much the point of the game gone...but still.

Used copy buyer, Capcom shouldn't care about you.

I plan on buying the game new when it's epic cheap so it's not an issue for me at least.

I cant really blame Capcom to be honest.

                            New copy = profit

                            Used copy = 0

I don't ever sell my games and I intended to buy Mercenaries new so I really don't care about this.
