Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

I've just unlocked the EX Missions, and it's a ton of fun actually.

The character omissions are irritating, but the game translates extremely well to the 3DS.

I've only put about 2 hours into the game.. So.. What the heck are "loadouts"?! ..

Weapon loadouts. You can change the character's weapons by earning them through scores or purchasing them with the 3ds coins or whatever.

And if anyone ever wants to play with my just pm me. I'll get on skype. Really wish the system allowed for voice chat...it does come with a built in mic after all.

I'm going to wait until Revelations is out to pick this up. I honestly have no interest in the 3DS other than for these RE titles, so I am not in a hurry to get one.

The save file thing is a letdown, though. They better not pull this shit with Revelations.

I'm not going to try and unlock loadouts (SS rank through mission 5-5), but I'll at least try to earn a B with every character. So far I haven't even gotten off Chris in single player, and the one time I had some duo matches with my friend it was awesome. Clearing the 15 wave ship deck blowout with an SS was fun. I used Krauser for that, and his knife along with some of his melees are awesome (the knee smash is a sight to behold).

Thanks Bertha! (Never heard of the term 'loadout' before.. Sucks that you cant mix and match weapons, but have to take all three of them. I take my DS when I walk the dog for an hour everyday, so I can finally put those play coins to good use..)

I see many of you guys playing Mercs when I'm on, but have no way of asking to play online with you! I really hope Nintendo installs that messaging service soon..

So. What's the highest combo any of you have scored yet? I'm still not quite used to the game. My highest combo is a measly 40 with Wesker (Krauser's weapons) in the Village (Night) stage. I remember getting over 200 on RE4 for the Wii in my heyday.. Sigh.. I think what hinders me the most is the smaller viewing angle. I find myself getting struck by off screen enemies a lot. :I

Randomness!: You know what would have been awesome? A custom stage. You pick the map you want, the time limit, you choose the amount of enemies to spawn at what rate, and what types. Such as the Mines, with all Garradors. Or.. Public Assembly with only chickens. XD..

I have SS ranks on all my missions except for the EX ones (they are all A ranks) and have not unlocked any loadouts at all! I used a play coin hack to buy them all anyways today as I had 100 play coins. I also only have like 8 different abilities unlocked and maxed out at level three but have not unlocked anymore. WTF is going on with my game! I wonder if that corrupt save being erased messed it up.

I've done mostly SS's so far, gonna go back and clean up the ones that aren't. Top Solo combo was... 67 I think, as Claire, duo was 76 with Rebecca and me as HUNK (with Rebecca's loadout). Then Giant Salvador came and fucked me up.

Thanks Canas! I have no messenger and my playing schedule is very sporadic, haha.. Congrats on the high combo! My only noteworthy achievement so far is knifing a gatling gun majini and a chainsaw majini in the same match. (I died by a normal majini right after though.. >_>)

I hear it's a Red 9 that fires three bullets and a Grenade Launcher.

I wonder if it's worth the 15 play coins. (Hard to decide between presents in DOA or loadouts in RE..)

Haha! I would consider that if my dog wasn't a total spaz. He likes to roll around on our wood floors. I don't think the 3DS could bare that. But I do walk him, so I end up getting 10 coins a day. I'll probably end up buying it. ;)

The 9th loadout benefits the female characters mostly, since the gun is so powerful allowing them to finish EX enemies with a melee... The gun on normal levels just kills most in one/two shots, haha.

Wait, gifts in DOA? I've been playing DOA but had no idea there were gifts?

That suuuuucks. Nice achievement though.

As for the ninth loadout, yeah I have it.

As was said, it's a Red9 with a three-round capacity and nine extra bullets to start, and not just a regular GL... a two-headed GL. It shoots two grenades at the same time (counts as one "bullet" though) in diagonal directions from where you fire to create a much bigger AoE (area of effect).

It's fun to play around with, but it really isn't very practical to be honest.
