Really? I had heard it was made by a external team for Sega. That's why we didn't get a lot of gore and head stomping goodness. At least that's what my old Gamepro said when I read it a while back.

    • No, I believe it was self censoring because at the time Japan didn't have the CERO rating system yet, and to avoid infractions they toned it down.

I think we're going to see the last of Chris and Jill in Revelations. They decided to get rid of Wesker after he appeared in 6 adventures (I should say 5 because his appearance in RE4 don't really count for me). Revelations will be the 5th adventure for both Chris and Jill and RE5 was their final mission in a way.

After RE5, I think Chris and Jill would only make cameo appearances.

I went by the credits. And Mikami said in the Official PlayStation 2 Magazine-UK (February 2001, I think) that he split his team for CODE:Veronica, based on what they liked to create most (weapons, characters etc.). Do you remember the issue number and year of that GamePro article?

Unfortunately I don't remember. It may have been Gamepro but I remember it came with a mini folder that gave info on RE0-3 for promotional purposes. I have the folder somewhere but the magazine is long gone.

            • resident evil 6 would be perfect to bring back nicolai working for alex wesker or
maby even working for the company ada works for ( maby it could be alex weskers company :X)
              then....
bring back true horror like re 2 with leon and claire ( were you have 2 options) play as leon or claire
then of course ( leon and ada arent done yet with the whole weird love thing they got going on)
then i want barry as backup ( like hunnigan) was for support on radio.

then i hope chris is helping leon and claire ( so he could show up like he did in code veronica)
or send out a team for backup with rebecca as the medic 5 squard bsaa Team
              so i want 3 villians....

nicolai ( payed good money by alex wesker to be he´s bodyguard)
alex wesker ( founder of the secret company ada works for)
hunk ( he is there on his own free will he love getting in bad situations an coming out of it alive)

(and ada as the mysterius character that we dont know .. if shes really good or evil)

              • For RE6 I would want most of the past plot to not be mentioned and also if anything is brought back don't make it wacky like bringing Wesker back from the dead and having Nicholai serve him. Although CAPCOM would do something like that.

I would want the least amount of the past game brought up. Maybe talk about the mansion incident or the Raccoon City outbreak but I don't want past characters brought back in. I would prefer it that the new characters know nothing of the known RE canon, that way they aren't prepared for if something happens.

Wesker's appearence in RE4 does count. He's heavily involved behind the scenes with Ada's mission.

As for RE6.I believe new character's should be introduced. It would definitly help the survival horror atmosphere.Chris,Jill,Leon and Claire, and Ada already know what to expect.you can't really get any scares out of them anymore. They are pretty much scare-proof.Resident Evil needs new lead character's,but have the the legendary characters with supporting roles.Anyway thats my take on what capcom should do.

                  • I'm not denying his importance to the story. But I'm talking more about his presence within the game.

His role in the main story reminds me of Chris' in RE2, in a way. Chris in RE2 was mentioned and you had a few glimpses of what he was up to for future sequels. You had the impression that Chris was a part of RE2's story even though he was not physically there. For me, Wesker in RE4 is the same thing.

Yes, later with Separate Ways he was given more presence thanks to his interactions with Ada but it was extra bonus. The real game is Leon's story for me. And in that, he's not there at all. Two or three mentions throughout a whole game, I hardly count that as Wesker appearing in RE4. He's some kind of a cameo for me. He's there, but not really. It's like saying Wesker was in RE2 because he ordered Ada to get the G sample.

                    • They honestly don't need to make it a sequel to RE5. I know the number games usually progress the storyline in Capcom version of games but they could always have it take place prior to RE5 and have it be something between the years leading up. I guess that's what Revelations is for but just saying.

If they do continue the story, I just want some more info on the organization (although for some reason, I am one of those who favor the GPC as being the organization and previous to RE5 I thought the organization was elements within the U.S. Government) and yes, hopefully to discuss more on Alex Wesker.

I don't think Albert Wesker is returning and frankly I am also against the idea of bringing him back. He played a part but really I don't want to see him again, especially if he is playing a part in OC and Revelations as rumored.

I would not mind new characters, new story, can deal with Tricell, having info on B.S.A.A. and some of the other characters from the previous story, but I don't really care for the older characters anymore.

I'm not expecting much at TGS though.

Yeah that's why they mention Revelations as RE5's sequel despite taking place in 2005. So I think RE6 will be a sequel to RE4, or at least Ada's involvement with The Organization. It'd be the most logical path to take.

Basically, he's involved, just not physically present.

                            • I'm interested to see where they go with the series, I can't promise I'll like it but I'm definitely interested. Ideally, I'd like to see the series bring forth some new story lines with new characters that still somehow tie into the mythology developed thus far. Even the side characters who hadn't gotten as much screen time as the Redfields, Leon or Jill would be pleasant to see. I mean characters like Carlos, Billy, Rebecca or Barry, characters who don't really have any lingering story lines that could be introduced with a, relatively, blank slate.

                              • in all honesty i think bringing back sherry and rebecca would be cool, both were young when it happened and in all honesty we have not seen then since RE2 and 1 respectively...yes i included 0 which took place before 1
