The point is, neither MGS1 nor MGS2 used nanomachines as a deus ex machina like MGS4 did. In both games it was mostly used for gameplay purpose (codec, radar, tracking devices on people Snake/Raiden had to find, justification to restrain Snake from using guns in certain parts of the game etc.) and to some degree for story (mainly carrying digital information and sending/receiving signals).

In MGS4 everything is explained through nanomachines, even things that did not really needed explanation. It was the laziest way to do so; every plot hole, every previously unexplained thing: nanomchines! They even used nanomachines to explain Naomi suddenly dying out of nowhere (someone should tell Kojima that cancer does not work like that).

To be honest, I did not compare the two games because, seriously, that would be retarded. GS story is just weak. I just said that one is good enough for what it was (simple low-budget FPS with an afterthought story) and the other is not (high budget game from a series that is praised for its story).

Not trolling anyone, boss. Stating your opinion is not trolling. You blantantly calling me stupid is trolling. K, thnxs.

Edit: Perhaps you should read those rules yourself and brush up on them before you dish them out to others.

And I'm busy getting a business back on its feet for the 5-6 weeks, which means that my solutions wont be too different from this... just that I'll gladly sign papers that allows for the use of orbital lasers and the occult to accomplish said banning.

And I've had no sleep in a week and have PMT so my response is going to be to nuke people from orbit; and I was going to everyone involved in this till I saw Darkmoon had posted. So consider yourselves lucky, and let's move on from this argument.

I'm very blunt and impatient on forums, but the polar opposite anywhere else.
I'm similar actually. Darkmoon can testify to the fact that in person, I'm quite chilled and just sit having a laugh. I only get a bit of a temper when someone is lazy at work. I like people to do what they are supposed to do, be efficient, and not be dumb. If someone doesn't know, I sit down and explain to them and explain why. If they do know, I ask them why they do not do what they know they are meant to. I am nice however to people who do what they are meant to and are considerate to our customers. My guys are pretty much used to that now and it has gotten them into a very good work ethic which works well for everyone, I have a great relationship with my staff and they are pro-active and look for solutions, not problems and do it without being asked. Outside of work, I am normally so knackered that I only browse here quite quickly and then want to play games/eat/sleep.

Questionable source, but not unexpected. Still no word on the validity of that logo shot.

Has it been confirmed that there is some sort of "water virus" in BHREV? I don't think I've caught that.

Apparently BHREV is going to have a pretty large story, wouldn't be surprising if some elements tied in straight with BH6 (probably with a little more substance than the Tricell link in biohazard DEGENERATION).

Oh yes im sorry its just speculations from me ,
its the first time with this water infected so i just thought it could have been something to do with some kind of water virus ( its not offical just speculations)

                  well about the large story

i remember in the begining they planned to make the game smaller or something.
an then they wrote more stuff for the story and now its much bigger game
                  (im glad they did this)
hopefully it will be longer than resident evil 3.
and i hope the link between the games are bigger and greater than the link between resident evil degeneration and re 5 course yeah it was abit dissapointing just the ending with tricell collection the rest of the Dead Bow.

                  • MY theory:

I don't think those water based enemies are infected with virus. They looked like it was created by genetic engineering. But in the Chris scenarios (mountains) there will be old good T-virus leaked from fallen plane.
                    Spoiler:

                      • I cannot remember if I posted it in this thread already, but I believe the water enemies may end up being another long lost creature, like the plagas.

Why the big secret about them if they just gonna be another virus created monster...

                        • Everything in Resident Evil is supposed to be a secret. But the sea creature idea looks like it was taken straight from the RE5 Beta concept (SURPRISE, SURPRISE, referring to the fact you could swim underwater and apparently there was going to be underwater enemies) and apparently the tentacle monster is based off of either Scylla which is the Greek version of the giant squid monster,

"Scylla was a horrible sea monster with four eyes, six long necks equipped with grisly heads, each of which contained three rows of sharp teeth. Her body consisted of twelve tentacle-like legs and a cat's tail and with four to six dog-heads ringing her waist. She was one of the children of Phorcys and Ceto....."

or Norse legend which is the kraken which I don't believe needs any introduction.

Keeping with tradition they might go with the name Scylla or something considering Capcom likes to use Greek code names for their bio-weapons (assuming this has to do with Umbrella, although the timeline may suggest otherwise) however it seems to be more Norse if anything.

And by the way, I don't know if people noticed it but it seems that those iron maiden rip-offs (the thing you see in the REVELATION gameplay that grab Jill and something long shoots out of its mouth and bites her or does something) makes me thing they are possibly some genetic hybrid offspring from the tentacle monster. The kraken in Norse mythology did pull the sailors down with its tentacles so it is very possible that those creatures we saw in the game on the ship are perhaps the crewmen that once worked there. And the long shaft like thing which comes out of their mouth and bites Jill looks more like some tentacle suction cup which draws blood. So perhaps it had something to do related to Progenitor (leechs from RE0 anyone?).

Just speculating but it does seem that perhaps the source of problems on the boat comes from this tentacle thing.

The 'big secret' can be chalked up to the fact that they've been pretty good at withholding plot information so far, probably intentionally. If the scenario is going to be as big as they say, there's probably a lot they don't want to give away. They were pretty good at it with BIOHAZARD 5 too, a lot of the story details Tsukasa Takenaka (who is in charge of BIOHAZARD REVELATIONS) wrote went completely under the radar until release. A good thing, of course.

I wonder who's actually writing the scenario though. The games usually have more than one writer, so I doubt Takenaka is the only one even if he is in charge. Having several writers who worked on the other games (such as Murata, who handled the scenario for Separate Ways/the another order) would increase the chances of plot threads from those games being explored in this one.

                            • Well, if RE6 is in production since june 2009, there's a high chance that this game will be released in 2012 or 2013.

2012 will be a year full of Resident Evil. ORC, Revelations, Damnation and now RE6.
Hopefully, quantity will not mean less quality.
